Just as well, because if they ever did get off their planet they would be able to beat us. (their ships would out maneuver ours , they would have faster reflexes, and we wouldn't have a chance in hand to claw combat
Elite was a good game, but that was like nearly 30 years ago
I had it on the 64 , and the sequel on the Amiga. I was tempted to donate the sequel to that international health relief organisation "Medicins sans Frontiers"
You can buy infrared detectors to see if there is heat on in the house, maybe even see if there are a pile of free newspapers by the door, the driveway and sidewalk covered with snow ryc.
Really? The Nomitz class carriers have been getting new versions of strike aircraft on a regular basis and soon they will be getting the naval version of the F35 (Unless we go 'off the cliff' of course
If you have a choice of where you live, staying away from the coast, and not near an active seismic zone, and not next to a river can help. (also some areas are less prone to tornados too.
I think if Obama is reelected there may be more missile silos up for sale too.
"he went flying over 50 linear feet before he fell."
The only time I have seen the unit linear feet is in flooring or other material pricing (to differentiate from square feet (area) So it doesn't make sense in this context (unless you could fly over 50 square feet.
Solar sails may work as a slow method of transportation in space (Wind from the Sun) but are not going to work on earth. (Or even for interstellar probes, even if some think thats a Cazy Eddie idea)
By the time a satellite in geostationary orbit needs refueling the technology will have advanced a lot, so why not just repelace it with a newer satellite that has more bandwidth and capabilities.. It might make sense for speciallised things like space telescopes, but not for general comunication / TV satellites.

In the ballot I just voted on, all or nearly all of them were running unopposed.
But there was a space fore a write in
This is the first US election I have voted in - I only became a citizen in 2009
And in the last week we have had phone calls asking us to vote for "One Man One Woman"
which was a good song, but I don't think it was Abba's best

WTF is the point of a "Flashlight App' anyway?
Do you really need a program to turn your $250 tablet into a $10 flashlight?
Mote - I am a flashlight-o-holic since I work nights
Some countries do have 'The' in their official title
The United States of America
The European Union
The Peoples Republic of China

Wow, evidence that there were once active volcanoes on Mars, who would have guessed that...
I think Olympus Mons is bigger than Hurricane Sandy, although it probably didn't affect anybody on this planet.
So not only is it effective against the asian and bird flu's, it also works against Martian, Klingon and Vulcan types.
(And how about The Andromeda Strain ?)
Was it an earthquake or did something fall into the lake?
When playing Paintball in space, you will be pushed backwards by the recoil too
I am over a thousand miles from the sea (in any direction) so I don't think I will even notce.

Does Yahoo honour the Do Not Track of any browser?
If so, which?
I wonder what the total IQ of the House Science Committee is?

I think you meant solar cells

Does it have the pylons? They looked cool but I never understood their purpose.
Are they going to hire Colm Meany and Max Grodénchik as consultants
That sounds like Teletext which we had in New Zealand from about 1984
Maybe Mitt Romney is a "Founder" (Shapeshifter)
It would account for his recent changes of policy if its not the real Mitt
