    Only those CS students that didn't pay attention during class would think constant factors didn't matter. If we assume N is sufficiently large for the algorithms we analyze, the coefficient does not matter only when the order of the expressions are _different_.

    As we are running the same algorithm with different coefficients for the (shared) highest order term, it is not correct to say such things do not matter.

    Perhaps you are more in tune with anime because much of it is specifically targeted at 20-25 year old males, those old enough to have lots of free cash to spend and geeky enough to spend it all on dvd's, anime figures, posters and towels. (Oh how I covet the Haruhi towel...)

    He is using quotes to make sure the reader knows he is referring to the game where actual 'feet' are used when interacting with the 'ball', rather than the game sharing the same name where 'hands' are primarily used.

    Obviously it is the former needs the quotes to avoid confusion, rather than the latter, which is much more widespread and popular.

    That is just an arbritary limit you decided upon. (Unless you weren't including the plural of friend in your argument, but since this is /. I'll just assume you have no comprehension of that concept)

    So making a copy to a friend (1) in sharing, and making copy to a second friend (2) is also sharing, same for that other friend of yours (N + 1). Now, by this we can deduce that it is ok to make copies to infinitly many friends.

    WTF? If I've got anyone in IT putting 1,000,000 rows in a spreadsheet, I'm seriously considering demoting them. If you're going to have a million rows, get a database.

    If anyone spent that long to implement an upgrade to a paltry 1M x 16K spreadsheet size, I'd seriously consider demoting them to janitors.

    Not a republic, are you perhaps suggesting Bush has taken on the title of King Bush?

    But since I can make a guess at what you really meant; It seems to me the United States likes to call itself a democracy, while technically true it would be more accurate imo to call it a federal republic with a efficiently two-party system. Not something I'd consider a 'democracy'.

    You do know this site can be accessed by people from around the world, and some of them even get mod-points?

    In much of Europe, and propably other places, the US 'Left' would be considered quite far to the right. While the US 'Right'... Dunno how much further right they would be shifted, there's really not *that* much difference between the two.

    I used to work in defense contracting and camera phones weren't permitted in a lot of the buildings. So I went shopping for a camera-less phone. The best phone I could find for a carrier with good service in my area was the LG VX3200.

    Why are you complainig about Nokia when it is the carriers that don't give rebates for specialized phones?
