This sounds like yet another company doing something like Latent Semantic Indexing or some sort of context processing on the text rather than using RDF markup to decide the semantics. To me, this isn't the semantic web..just another fancy search company trying to jump on the bandwagon.
I always like to see the Germans lose, but I'm not sure the US will be able to pull that off. I don't think they'll be able to thrash them like they did Norway and Guatamala.
With regard to the USA ranking, it helps that the USA has played 5 friendlies already this year since most of the team is in the MLS off-season while most other associations are in the middle of their league play so friendlies are much harder to coordinate.
I like that commercial with Cantona, but am I must admit I wonder if he was thinking of skills, heart, HHHHonor, joy, and team spirit when he drop kicked that fan during the Crystal Palace game in 95.
When I ordered a new card the letter included with it specifically states not to carry it around in a wallet....it's not like you need to show it to someone every day so why take it with you everywhere
For those, like me, that aren't in the know: CLEC = competitive local exchange carrier ILEC = incumbent local exchange carrier
An ILEC is a telephone company that was providing local service when the Telecommunications Act of 1996 was enacted. Compare with CLEC, a company that competes with the already established local telephone business.
That's not always possible when you develop an app. If you want to minimize the number of post backs to a server, you might be using a lot of crazy javascript which may not be cross platform (like assuming IE's DOM instead of checking). If you are using display components that uses a lot of css/dhtml stuff that works "properly" in IE, chances are it may not be positioned properly in in Mozilla. (due to various fudge factors to get it to work the way you want in IE to begin with)
adding rss feeds is new. Before you only had a few selections of the sites that google would let you add. Now you can add whatever you want, as long as there is an rss feed
There's no need to be scared. The write up doesn't mention it, but aim fight is "owned" by AOL. To AIM engineers wrote it and it's heavily linked on http://www.aim.com/
the whole story is about France wanting it rather then letting the Japanese building it. Nowhere does it talk about France not wanting it in their back yard..they were going to build one anyway if the Japanese got the deal
Japan got a serious compensation package for getting beat.
From the BBC article: According to the package, Japan will get 20% of the project's 200 research posts while providing only 10% of the expenses, and host a related materials research facility - of which half the construction costs will be shouldered by the EU.
that's why you should set your PayPal account to use your credit card.
PayPal dicking you over? Go over their heads and call the credit card company for a charge back. You get the money credited back to your account by the credit card company and PayPal now has the 3 ton gorilla credit card company going after their money. You get an email from PayPal asking about the problem, but it's out of their hands.
Ah..campusfood.com. It started at UPenn in 1999 I think and by the time I graduated in 2003, it was a hell of a lot bigger. It was a great service. I definitely missed it when I had to move to *the real world*
so why even bother trying to protect your identity if some company is going to go and give it away..so far this year info that could be used to take my identity has been:
why would the broadcast networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, and Fox) cost $5?? They are free right now.

So I guess this would be another reason for Apple to spin off iTunes into their own company.
I would think Apple records would have a harder time suing iTunes Corporation

FWIW, I can scroll with my mousewheel in Firefox using Windows XP at work. Don't know if it's a windows thing though
When I ordered a new card the letter included with it specifically states not to carry it around in a wallet....it's not like you need to show it to someone every day so why take it with you everywhere

A quick google turned this up:
http://aoleave.com/
It looks to be exactly what you are looking for, but it seems to be a little out of date so it may not necessarily work.

yeah, shouldn't it start and end with a red stripe? looks like it's missing the one from the top

Not too shabby
Here's a nice article from Slate that discusses how the NY Times has violated it's code on confidential news sources.
Basically, if you are going to use an anonymous source to just do a cheap-shot on someone, the NY Times is not supposed to provide anonymity.

So I wonder what new name they'll pick now...
it's not fool proof either :-P
Another thing to try is using the on screen keyboard that Windows 2000 and Windows XP have...avoiding the key press entirely
You can order online from pizza hut. I do it all the time from DC metro area..I don't think there's anything location specific about it
