Not at all, programs need to be written in parallel to be able to take advantage of systems like the Mosixes. Even then in order for them to be migratable they have to take into consideration things like the impracticality of using shared memory and bottlenecks like interconnect latency. The idea is far from perfect but is making strides.
What? I knock over places all the time to support my digital habits, right now trying to save up for my 1.21 Jigawatt Power Supply. Sell ya a DVD player for $20? I got a variety of them.
They tried this at a district in the Pittsburgh area. They got a grant to use the students as rats, and gave every student in the test grade a PS1 (Before the PS2 came out) and the in school ciriculum was designed around the educational games provided with it. The program was an absolute failure. Now the school district has several thousand PS1s in nice leather cases sitting in various bins throughout the basements of the schools. The kids mostly took them home and then just rented/bought games for them. The district is now holding onto them waiting for them to be completly worthless before they put them up for auction.
Yea, but according to the article he was selling the stuff he downloaded. I think that him selling it was what made them really look at him, and not just being another one of the millions of faceless downloaders
Nah, what dims the magic for me is the bastard behind me who downloaded it off of BitTorrent who wouldn't STFU with the telling his friend what was about to happen.
Sony claims that these protests disrupt server activity, but people run Player Events which draw ~200 people into one town and sony doesn't say a word, Hell, if they find out about it they send people to HELP, but when 100 people show up in a place that is DESIGNED to be a high capacity area like theed or CNet to complain about sony completly ignoring and in places silencing the player base, they start Suspending accounts, warping people to nasty places, and other fun "Punishments"
I hate to defend them, but I remember seeing something a while ago that microsoft contracted out for certian audio needs. If this was the case with these sounds it's not acctually them who nicked the software but what ever person who they paid to produce the sounds.
For you, Maybe, I don't know of any theaters in Pittsburgh that I'd have to pay for parking at. If it's really $8, take a bus, it's cheaper (here at least). Secnod, Ticket Prices here are still around $9. I can Imagine that there are places that you would need to pay for parking in, maybe a theater inside a city, but I find it hard to belive $12 tickets, I can get the premium tickets with the leather seats and stuff for $12 at loews. Third, I always have someone with me with a big purse, and we just bring our own low noise food (gallon ziplock of popcorn with REAL Butter, not that fake crap, a few cups, a 2 liter or two of dew). Try a different theater or something (Less You don't have many options).
Or, you could just hook a computer up to that home theater setup you got and steal it.
go to home depot, lowes, what ever, get a bunch of peices of wood, and a shitload of nails. put the nails through the wood and make spike boards and put them under your ground level accessable windows, so that if they break in though a window, you'll fuck them up and slow them down abit if they try to make off with anything.
Burn a CD with the latest norton defs, windows service pack 1, all those little updates for the trojans, and a firewall (I personally like Kerio Personal Firewall), and install that before you even put the network cable back in.
No man, with norton, your just paying to have it done automatically. Definitions are avalible on their website. My liveupdate, all though the subscription is good, doesn't work for some reason, so I'm forced to check their site every other day or so. I'm not acctually paying for it (Uni thing) though, so I don't really care, just do it when I go looking at any of the web comics I read. But that $30 a year is only so you can forget about it and let it do it's own thing.
Upon first reading this I was more more offended that they were planning on using Windows NT Then I was that they are going to start a catch, tag, and then release the homeless back into the wild Program to track their movements:|

The original Id GPL notice is in the svn for the game engine, just as it should be.

That's cold man, they operate on the funding of listeners, and so you 'save' them from a slashdotting during a fund drive.
I KNEW THEY WERE EVIL!!!!!!

I use giga-byte boards, which allow me to flash from windows with @Bios or something along those lines
I was thinking I could try it out, but after the mess SOE made of SWG After the Curb Job, i'm staying the hell away
makes it more difficult to conceal if your trying to nick it from the store

How the new combat system plays
Just another picture of random protest

You can have him build a Cyclotron

Yea, it would be like a 'Wet Floor' sign in a hallway, if it's visible and noticable, there not responsible if you decided to walk accross it.
