    Ideally, in any lawsuit, including divorce, the court shouldn't go offtopic or subjective, and should only concentrate on the matter at hand. Unfortunately, most judges don't really value the privacy of the parties involved. Thus, I have to agree with you, until lawyers will be forbidden to dig up your whole life in an unrelated case, sometimes having the trial behind closed doors is the better alternative.

    Which is why he is the perfect bogeyman for this suit that will serve as a precedent to make online file storage illegal. But many overlook that when their judgement is clouded by their (however justified) personal dislike of Dotcom.

    Which is why they are fighting them instead of recruiting. After they get a hacker, they give him a choice between an unrealistically long prison service and a slap on the wrist provided they join them. Most hackers have chosen the latter.

    They aren't going 10% over the limit, it's your speedometer that shows 10% more than your actual speed so the manufacturer doesn't get sued.

    The main reason autonomous cars could be safer than human drivers is that they drive carefully and obey the rules. If we create exceptions for them, they will become unsafe for their users and everyone else on the road.

    Even 10 billion people could be environmentally sustainable, provided we reduce our ecological footprint to a rational level. The problem is, we humans have a habit of using as much resources as we can, so I don't think a lower population would be much more sustainable. For example, if half of the people died tomorrow, that would bring down oil prices which would lead to the remaining people use more gas than they did before.

    While many say that there are great famines in Africa, they still have the fastest growing population among the continents. The biggest problem of Africa is overpopulation.

    True, but it only takes a few greedy people to ruin a system based on generosity. If you want a secure system, you have to assume that nobody can be trusted. Similarly, if you want a stable society, you have to assume that most people are greedy.

    I would say that students smoking pot have a 100% chance of illegal substance use, I wonder how alcohol could beat that. And as for alcohol becoming a "gateway" this only shows how effectively prohibition managed to reduce marijuana use.

    Use it for cargo first, and if there are no problems we can start using it for passengers. But the cost is a big obstacle.

    While classical anarchists were considered close to socialism, that was in a time when everyone who didn't want monarchy was called leftwing. In fact, they were kicked out of the First International fairly quickly. In practice, anarchists are basically very radical liberals. True, that is a rebellious teenager's ideology, but most anarchists are teenage punks so I don't see a contradiction.
