    You will find that's similar for a lot of games on both platforms. Ghost Recon? $49.99 GCN, $39.99 PC (GOTY edition even, for the PC).

    Video Card Upgrade:
    We upgrade the Geforce 2 Ti 200 to more trendy video cards, such as the Geforce 4 MX 440, Geforce 4 Ti 4200/4600 and Radeon 9700 Pro (Tyan Tachyon G9700). We also check with a Geforce 3 Ti 200 and Radeon 8500, as both videoards featured an excellent price/performance ratio and have been very popular.

    The program runs each weekday. 11 unique markets (140 stations), 1 hour show daily, 5 days. That's 55 hours a week. Nevermind the fact that it probably runs at the same time in a few cities which would make it impossible for them to do it any other way.

    And it's obvious that they should use PGP to encrypt emails from huffy constituents or emails that contain draft language of a law that will be public anyway?

    Imagine if that email complaining about a 4% increase on beer tax fall into the wrong hands...

    I am willing to be that the SAS doesn't send emails to MPs (or anyone for that matter) outlining their next secret operation.

    Is having an Intel CPU still that big a deal to the average consumer? I know they still blow a ton of cash on advertising how a P4 will "make the internet faster" and the like, but does your average consumer care? They obviously care about Windows, not because it's Windows but because Deer Hunter 8 or 3D Home Recipe Book VI won't run on anything else. But the CPU?

    Never had a problem with Speakeasy. Switched to them from Interaccess (local Chicacgo) which was bought by Hosting.com which was then bought by Allegiance. The Interaccess service got progressively suckier with each buyout until it became a capped, crippled, unreliable piece of crap.

    Speakeasy has been excellent in service, support, and extras.

    On topic, I use bluedomino.com for hosting. Kind of expensive but I've been with them a long time and like everything as it is.

    Someone will always find a way to steal and no matter how good your security, when you have the human element on the inside, you are vulnerable. That's why auditing to detect theft is as important as securing against it.

    Great analogy. As applicable as, "If you have a one legged dog, you still can't kick a cop in the nuts and steal his lunch."

    Trying to look at it from a common property law standpoint is exactly what makes judges, lawyers, and lawmakers look so stupid most of the time. This is nothing like stealing a TV, having an open front door, having a house, whatever. It's like having a website and publicly publishing data you don't want anyone to see and then suing someone who sees it.

    That's kind of my point. They'll think they know someone is there, but it's just a phone. You could carry 10 phones with you and they'd think there's a bunch of people at a particular location. Maybe only if you spread them out a bit, whatever. It's fairly usless for actually "tracking" someone as you and others have said. Anyone who doesn't want to be tracked/spotted can avoid it. This will be useful as a tool for rescuers, advertisers, traffic reports, etc, but not necessarily for law enforcement or security.

    So you could:

    A. Turn off your phone, rendering the "tracking" useless.

    B. Not carry a cell phone if you're going to be trespassing on corporate or government property (or otherwise monitored space).

    C. Throw your phone or launch it with a slingshot and send the coppers on a wild goosechase for "a man that can accelerate extrordinarily fast, fly, and then disappear [as the phone smashes into a hundred pieces]. Gentleman, we have found Superman!"

    Would seem to me that, as the idea of advertising is to gain more business, and the idea of more business is to make more money, he is clearly in it for the money. Now if he had asked for part of the settlement in donations to animal shelters or something, that I might see as a matter of principle.

    At $1600*, I don't see this being for "Joe Desktop" either. Maybe corporations will buy them for energy and space savings or your average home user will like the "green" aspect, but there a lot of other, cheaper options. Hopefully it does well, but it's the old "too expensive for the non-enthusiast, too limited for the power freak" problem.
