It reminds me a bit of repulsion gel from Portal 2...
"Its purpose was to cause subsequently ingested food items to bounce off the lining of the dieter's distended stomach and out of their mouth."

Infra-red in general is not a single wavelength of light though, it can span from about 700 nm to 1 mm, it's a larger band than the whole visible spectra.
I must resist mentioning how in Soviet Russia, mobile phones jam you!
In my local cinema recently, people were quite good with keeping phones on silent, but the light from people checking and sending text messages still annoyed me a bit.
When I saw that subject title, my first thought was: "one device to rule them all, one device to find things, one device to bring them all and in the darkness activate the backlight":-)

I assume this is a more fancy version of something like Microsoft PhotoSynth?
Shame it doesn't involve lasers. :-P
While there is no mention of a kernal, it does appear to use a Linux kernel:
"The Chrome OS will run on both x86 and ARM architectures, uses a Linux kernel with a new windowing system." :-P
Do you mean Lesbos Island?

It was the new Bond film, so that certainly is a possibility!

Anyone ever tried cooling a CPU with a continuous flow of liquid helium? :)
There is even one for if the LHC has destroyed the world or not!
Could you cope any better with Music for Elevators by Anthony S Head though?
Being groped by space-whores could potentially be worth the wait anyway. ;)
A replacement service like http://www.nochex.com/ ?
I read "united" as "untitled" when I first saw that headline. :P
What I was wondering though is that happens to SuSE Linux and such... will there never be an SuSE Linux 9.0?
I'm sure that USB2 would be more than adequate for the amount of data needed to be sent/to from it. :-)
I think they meant "than", but the people who run slashdot can't spel. :-)
Bajorans... sorry to be pedantic. :-)
Wasn't it pushed along by some sort of eddies in space?
I've kinda waiting for KPico to be honest. :-)
;)
I've never been much of a fan of vim... too steep a learning curve... it takes a certain type of person to use vim.
Well of course not, the weight of all the matter on it crushed it. :-)

What about the doctor of Star Trek: Voyager? ;)
What sort of a person would use vi when they know pico is so more easier to use? ;-)
Remember it does take some brains to be evil imo. ;)
> " using bits of people " ? eww ;-)
I meant paper
I don't know what I was thinking of at the time... hmm....
Does downloading porn and watching people's webcams count as entertainment? ;-)

Also, things written on paper aren't affected as much by EM radiation and magenets. :)
