OOPS...I just noticed it refers to DisplayLink not DisplayPort. I guess the morning coffee hasn't quite kicked in. But the underlying sentiment is the same. It still uses a DisplayLink adapter and software to send VGA, DVI, or HDMI signals to any monitor you connect it to. But it places more stress on the CPU as the drivers do more of the heavy lifting. They acknowledge issues with the software on Mac OS X. Perhaps Apple just got tired of messing with them,
The monitor isn't the "complicated" piece. You can connect VGA, DVI, and HDMI all to a DisplayPort connection with the appropriate adapter. But DisplayPort is an industry standard and we all know how averse to using standards Apple is. In fact I'm kind of shocked they have adopted USB C (Which can be used as a DisplayPort connector as well).
Stock price is down 22% in the last week...what can we do to stop it? I know! We'll yank permissions from one of our other properties without warning and people will instantly trust us again. What could possibly go wrong?
I started looking at VPN providers and stumbled across this guys site. Talk about information overload! I don't know anything other than what he has posted but by the looks of it he has way more free time than I do. So if your VPN is "leaking" this might be a good source for deciding who your next VPN provider will be.
Ahh...I see the problem there. The ***aa's don't make any money off of concerts and fan events. Like musicians don't make any money off of album sales. So the money is going to the actual artists not the blood suckers who go after pirates.
Why is it a scandal when a company is working for a conservative/GOP candidate but not even a story when it isn't. This type of data collection has been going on for years.
Of course it's bad business but they are both guilty of it already. It's not hard to make the leap once you see all the childish crap they've already pulled. I can't watch Prime Video on my Android TV device but the same app works fine on my phone. Amazon has a working Prime Video for Android TV but it checks to make sure it is running on Nvidia Shield hardware or it crashes on purpose! Google checks to see if YouTube is running on an Echo Show and shuts it down.
Google and Amazon have been at each other's throats for the last few years. It wouldn't surprise me if Google helped or Amazon wanting to hurt Google commissioned something like this.
Speaking of the prophecy...What did Qui-gon think would happen? At the time there were no known Sith and Jedi were everywhere. If Anakin would bring balance to the force that means bye bye Jedis.
We have been using Sharp TV's as monitors in our office for years. Quite by accident I learned they have a similar feature called Wallpaper Mode but instead of looking like the wall it has an artistic picture that displays when it is turned off if you enable quick start mode. Looks like a hanging picture and as I learned from the manual is low power so it isn't using nearly as much power as normal. You can also set it to use images loaded to any USB drive connected to the TV. This isn't remotely new Samsung is just marketing it in a new way.
I decided last year it was time to finally upgrade my aging i3 2120 rig and went about collecting the parts to build a new one as I have for the last 30 years. I had already gotten a new case and was looking at power supplies when I realized how much memory and GPUs had gone up. I started perusing all the deal sites looking for something reasonable and coming up empty. It's been getting harder and harder to get current games to run and now I'm getting desperate. I actually broke down today and ordered an HP Omen system because I had a 25% coupon from HP. I saved about $400 but still...it's an HP!:( I haven't felt this drained since I ponied up $500 for 16MB of RAM on a 486DX2 system.
WOW! The misinformation and inaccurate responses show just how ignorant the public is to what is really going on. Everyone likes to point to the India incident as proof BlackBerry caved and NOBODY seems to realize they were the ONLY company that didn't cave. They fought tooth and nail to keep user data secure while every other company happily handed their keys over. It was only after India said they would kick BlackBerry completely out of one of the LARGEST markets in the world that they relented. And even the information they gave the Indian government didn't guarantee they could access anything without some strong decryption systems.
And if you had your own BES BlackBerry doesn't even have the keys to give out.
How quaint. A company refuses to turn over user data and eventually relents after being threatened with banishment and everyone points at them as a sellout all the while not realizing they never heard anything about THEIR company turning over their data because they did it willingly.
BlackBerry has been a communications and software company since day one. Their messaging system BlackBerry Messenger set the bar for secure enterprise mobile communication. You can't see security so it isn't sexy like filters or emojis but if you don't have it eventually you'll wish you had. BlackBerry has actually been working their ass off making themselves and indispensable security partner in a whole host of industries. But sure since they don't make phones anymore they don't deserve to sue somebody for infringing on their patents.
I'm sure most people are aware of this. That said I have an original Barnes & Noble Nook Color I bought in 2010 that still has excellent battery life. I also have a Galaxy S with the original battery that holds a charge fairly well. But I've also had two Galaxy SII that needed multiple battery replacement during their time with me. So YMMV is the golden rule on such things.

Shouldn't we be calling them BPU's now?

How was this not the first post?

I went one better. I sent the asylum a note letting them know Pelosi, Schumer, and Schiff were loose.
