Would this be akin to having General Electric owning your electric company then saying that they won't charge you for the electricity used to power G.E. branded toasters and dishwashers (hello "smart grid")? Of course non-G.E. branded appliances would be charged as normal, or at a higher rate.
This is welcome news. I'm hoping we will see some real quality titles like Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne that are already over on XBox Live Arcade.......
It doesn't appear that the developers of AOE DS tuned the game, mathematically or otherwise. The game frequently locks up on my DS, and there is a known bug regarding the length of your profile name which can cause a lockup.
I've noticed the AOL searches thing as well. Does AOL/TimeWarner own the Discovery Channel? That might be the reason pretty much every other product in the show is 'grayed out' but AOL is not......
You are right on with the 10-16 year old target audience. If you go to our public library you'll consistently see 75% of the computers in the children's (and someitmes the adult) section running RuneScape. Our 11 year old son has gotten the RuneScape bug and plays it as much as we let him. We even got him a subscription (only $5 a month) that will last as long as he keeps his grades up.
And as a previous poster alluded to, having a FOP sticker on your car pretty much makes you immune to minor traffic violations. At least that's the myth in Indiana......
Detasseling is only hard work if you have to walk. I walked a couple years while detassling, but then one year I worked for a farmer near Peru, IN that had a detassling machine, basically a jacked up tractor with long 'arms' on each side containing buckets where the detasslers could stand. That was country club compared to walking.
But you are right about detassling tearing up your hands. Every year we have some noobies show up on the first day without any gloves. Their hands were usually a bloody mess by lunchtime.
So that why I still get those dang FOP solicitation calls every year. I wonder how the FOP got the no-call list from the state anyway, since they didn't have to follow it in the first place?
Some of my fond memories are also of the C64, specifically loading and playing a game called 'Forbidden Forest' from a cassette drive (!) for the first time. Of course that cassette drive was replaced with a 1541 disk drive shortly thereafter.....
I believe there is a Best Buy right next door to the Novi Sheraton, so maybe that will brighten some geek's day. If they decide to leave the hotel that is.........
If the only reason companies like Yahoo!, Google, MS, etc. are entering the desktop search arena is in order to generate ad revenue, you can be sure I will never install one.
Ads related to my web searches? Ok. Ads based on what files are on my PC? No thanks, too big of a privacy concern for me.......

Leap year strikes again?
Why no AM Radio?

What kind of influence did the overwhelming success of World of Warcraft have on the development of LOTRO?
What's the point of gameplay tuning in the first place if bugs cause frequent lock up and crashes?

The largest software project in mankind's history now threatens to also be the longest.
Nah, that would be Duke Nukem Forever........

Hmmm, I always felt that way about Ohio, not Indiana.........
lol, try "Fraternal Order of Police".

Gateway here we come!!!!
How about the Power Squid? Looks pretty nifty.......
Indianaplis isn't excactly rural. Try someplace, say like http://www.rossville.net/
Also if you did a search on the most played maps... Strike at Karkand would come up #1 with the other urban maps right behind it.
How true. Karkand has definately become the 'Omaha Beach' map of BF2.......

Maybe he has a midget (ie.Ewok) fixation?
He still has a blog, but stopped using the 'Lum the Mad' handle a few years ago: Broken Toys
Actually two episodes are airing tonight. '33' at 9pm ET followed by 'Water' at 10pm ET.
