I am a Microsoft shop. I use Windows 10 on everything, I have the Surface Pro, I have the Windows Phone. Every day I RDP into my primary machine from work (while at work), from my phone (while bored at random places), and from the Surface (while at lunch). WTF is Continuum and WTF can I not already do that I am already doing?
Considering ATI/AMD has more or less never once produced a stable driver for video on any operating system. I don't want to read the article because I prefer to believe all the changes were purely just string replace Catalyst to Crimson and nothing more.
I work almost exclusively over RDP. I have a gaming machine at home on my desk of which I never sit. I go to the office, RDP into home. I go home, I go to the bedroom and RDP to the other room. Whatever. But here is the thing, after an update, the first RDP connection in sits on the blue screen showing your avatar for about 10 minutes (or however long your PC takes to do the last second steps of the updates). It tells you nothing about what is going on, and any prompts that you would normally see get auto OK'd while you are stuck in the login spinning animation. So not only will your shit get uninstalled (I have seen this as well, and not just the latest release) but you won't even know, because you won't be shown the progress prompt during the RDP connection.
some time ago I was worried at how I can get only 4 hr and then stay up til 3 am again. this has been going on all year for me. "man ima be so tired tonite"... nope.
Because my cellphone has been doing this for years. All I have to do is bash the space key and I get tonnes of random poems and headlines generated on the fly.

I maintain it still kinda ugly. Too skinny, or something, and I very much dislike the numerals. It's ok though, I'm allowed. I just don't see why ppl keep getting so excited about it. Maybe Consolas says too much about my character.
Why don't we just replace the cops with robots too. Maybe a series of lights that a camera can do hue detection on.
Jokes aside, traffic cops really are kinda pointless when they could program a portable traffic lamp that could be rolled out to do the same custom flow required for the hour or whatever. We have them (cops) in Dallas directing traffic out of Big Business and Big Religion parking lots. I like to watch them. They rarely care about conditions, instead just relating an alternate yet regular traffic pattern.
Most of his personal savings just offload the burden of destruction to someone else, like taking uber (fossil fuels) and donating dirty clothes (water use, and being a scumbag donating dirty things) such that I was not entirely sure this was not satire.
Does that mean FirefoxOS doesn't use Firefox for anything by default? I'm honestly asking, not trolling. I would assume that their technology would default to using their technology because why the hell not?
I don't think the launch was botched at all. But the actual point of the article is right - it is a privacy nightmare. I was actually really proud of Windows 8 because the privacy settings were set very private, you could actually skip that screen and be pretty safe. Everything was defaulted to off like sending reports n shit. Then W10 they made the "customise" link just a shade different from the background blue colour and they see to be hoping people wouldn't have noticed that now everything defaults to "PUSH ALL THE THINGS."
I was disappointed in that. But I feel the release and the OS itself is solid. It has been solid for several months on the Insiders chain.
I depend on the caps lock key - and not just for being cool. I tap the shit out of that key while coding anything like constants that need 3+ big letters in a row. Ain't nobody got time for Shift Dancing long consts.
this would be a case where it would be interesting to see the different outcome between a jury snowden's "peers" vs a jury of "common folk". against a stacked jury of his peers from the industry he would have no chance. against the common american? do you think he would get the pardon? i guess there is always trial by combat...
Sure, they have a Gaylord, but, damn, glad I left there a few years ago Grapevine does not have the infrastructure to handle much traffic. And poor Southlake is going to get flooded with even more people who cant judge the space their SUV needs during dinner time.
Around here all I have to worry about are soccer moms in minivans and rich snobby women driving Teslas to Neman Marcus. Not so much trucks. My projects are safe. For now.
Does this mean we are also closer to, when we transmit our doctors across the galaxy, that we have to delete our local copy after transmission for DRM?

sometimes doing the right thing requires evil actions.

... which I use my right elbow for.
yesterday there was a post about how there is no way in the ui to disable it automatically connecting to every single hyperlink on the page.
$80 for 12GB is retarded. I can't imagine what life would be like if our landlines had that kind of price limitation.
now we will be all sweaty in our suits and trust me nobody wants that. just wear the damn sweater.

Sounds like a Jedi Holocron. Just sayin'

... but I still cannot dock the dev tools into the tab I am working in... so I can't really take it seriously as a web dev yet.
that last comment about taking away their ball and that article. strawman? it takes nearly 0 effort to set up a general purpose dev env in windows.
