    doing X

    Most (not all) floating bridges (Floyd Rose, Kahler, etc) use a locked nut.

    If the tuning pegs on the headstock are the active part then this will not adapt well at all.

    re: kde/qt next gen, all true but I think GP was making a slightly different point.

    As I read it, she/he was referring to the fact that GNOME is less upgrade driven and more bug-fix/stability/footprint driven due to different target devices/users.

    I may be wrong, but what do I know, I use kde or windowmaker :-)

    Well it isn't as clear as all that.

    Vonage requires a working IP connection and bandwidth to work properly.

    Many users have difficulty keeping their pcs zombie free, imagine that same user demogaphic setting up QOS.

    I know people in the industry that still can't troubleshoot and correct their network to work with ANY voip provider.

    It's like people leaving their isps because they got cut off for being a spam relayer.

    There will always be turnover in a "technical" service.

    But yeah, that number does sound high.

    Ipod is just as weird a name as zune.

    now an iRiver, that makes perfectly good sense for a music player name (what?!?).

    What I'd really like to know is this:

    Is microsoft losing money on each of these (think xbox)?

    I could fully see getting one and never buying a single piece of music (online).

    Are they really using the power lines for the transmission?

    I seem to recall Hydro having a very extensive fibre network.

    They plan to roll out smart meters using (you guessed it fibre)
    and piggybacking wired access to homes down the road soon too.

    Anyone know the details?
