The plural of anecdote isn't data, despite this thread setting out to prove otherwise - but between myself and 2 friends I'm aware of 6 or 7 xboxen that haven't failed once, the oldest of which dates back to about 2 months after launch.
I've also been gaming since I were a nipper and other than vaguely missing Gran Turismo I've never felt the need to run out and buy a PS3 or wii. Keeping GTA PS-exclusive would probably have got me buying one though.
Concur, I've started rewatching Buffy recently and it just has one-liners and retorts that make me literally LOL.
Dollhouse has had, what, 2 funny lines?
Joking aside, AW&ST ran a story about a recently-cancelled TSTO system with a "Mothership" based on the XB-70 (aesthetically at least).
Hangar 18 at Groom Lake is fairly big, no? There's at least 2 pictures of a very large white plane that has no reasonable explanation (I believe this may be one.
"I'm pretty much a hardcore Republican that thinks Obama is a sort of Pharonic anti-christ"
You jest, no? Much as I dislike pretty much all US politicians for being corporatist whores with nothing but the survival of the elite and global imperial hegemony on their mind, please tell me that you have serious policy differences with the Donks but you don't believe OBH is a marxist/the devil/a muslim/trotskyite?
I always thought that about "free" energy from Solar, wind, wave etc - we're removing energy from a chaotic system in massive amounts, so how can this not affect *something*?
I tried to sell one of my 6 digit ICQ numbers (begins 247) on eBay a few years back, and AOL pulled the auction under VeRO ('We own this 6 digit number!') - but now I've learned that ICQ is big in Russia... Hmmm, might have to try again...
I signed up in early '96 FWIW.
I have 14 dictionary-word gmail accounts too, to leave to my hypothetical grandchildren:)
Umm, because a nation of people indoctrinated (with or without merit) against Americans, when invaded by Americans, tends to umm, resist?
And if there's nearby regional powers where the US also has a history of meddling they might step in and help the, umm, insurgency?
Seriously, did you spend the last 6 years asleep or are you being sarcastic? If so, please use the phrase "welcome us with flowers" or "the sugar will pay for the liberation costs" just so we can tell...
For all those warm-heart western people, who can't tolerate others suffer, please give some patience to the Chinese. Democracy is happening in China. The pace may be too slow from your POV. But ask yourself how long it took for the USA to develop to the current democratic status.
But, at what stage (if you're not into the whole FDR-coup thing) did the US go through its Fascist phase? That's where China is now, and it's hard to see a transition to anything like democracy from that place. Once you start revving up the death vans, giving the secret police free reign and running networks of slave labour camps it's fairly hard to go back.
Not being flamey, genuinely interested in your view of this versus my perhaps distorted outside opinion of the system over there.
80% of the population feels the internet *should* be controlled, and 85% of these believe gov.cn is the one to do it. If you follow the trends, it seems that the government's propaganda about the internet seems to be taking, in that less than a third of users said the net was a reliable source of information.
The Chinese also don't censor in the way the UAE or Singapore do either, in that you're going to get a Connection Reset error rather than a Stop! Bad Things! warning if you access something relating to the issue du jour, and they allow VPNs and proxies because 1) they know it's only a small percentage who use them and outside of this group there's little interest in bypassing the government 'safeties' and 2) most external business interests would be very very upset if their VPNs stopped working.
I have a SonyEricsson Bluetooth watch (MBW-100) that does CallerID, silences then rejects incoming calls, lets me know when SMS or email arrives and plays/pauses/track advances music. Oh, and does time and date too:)
Never used to wear a watch, wouldn't be without one now.
The SBX has been in Hawaii being repaired, as it's a huge turd in seagoing terms.
Can't cope with 8ft seas, and has no launch capability (as in, if you fall overboard you better start swimming, they ain't gonna pick you up).
There's cutscenes?
1) Invert said dish 2) Place on head 3) Insert hands into opposing arms' sleeve 4) Stick out front teeth
Soooo... no speculation about what SSTO or other solutions might already be floating around out there? I mean, ya really think XB-70 was canned?
Use an old AppleTV with the Mini-PCI hardware HD video decoder one of the XBMX devs and Broadcom developed.
1080P HTPC for around $200 in a very, very nice form factor.

And possibly the Clear Skies Act.
"FlexPlay"
No flexibility, and after 48 hours no play!

Before we go crazy, it's worth reading the Pew Research Centre study into Chinese views of the internet.

Tell me about it, it's a brilliant lock-in and will certainly take some of the shine off my 3G iPhone come June.
I think you've tapped into an under-used metric for reviews - would certainly put the iPod Shuffle ahead of the Zune, at any rate.

PAN for the win
Did they offer spades too, so the chips could be buried 6ft down?
They're excavating the site for a reason.
Strange, I would have said it was barely half good.
Euston.
Looks to me like it goes over the Middle East, India, Korea, China, Siberia and then down the west coast of CONUS. It's also not an ELINT bird, so unless they're peeking into people's houses there's not much danger of this being Bush's Watergate.

Ta da!
1 Exabyte!
Not to be confused with Excitebike, which is something entirely different.
