I put a button in my software. Click it and a form pops up with a "describe what you were doing when a crash or bug happened, or make a suggestion for a new feature" type message. It also, behind the scenes, captured the state of the program when the button was pressed. That worked well. I got a bunch of new feature requests, as some good hints as to what the user was trying to do when things went south. YMMV
The park is re-opened now and is called Mountain Creek. And No, the looping water slide is not open. Nor is the famous Alpine Slide that was responsible for so many skinned .
I LOVED that place back in the day. It was TOTALLY NOT SAFE. That was much of the park's appeal, and of course, its downfall.
For those of you like me who don't have a clue...

WTF Tizen is...
Basically, Tizen is a cross-architecture, open source software platform based on a comprehensive standards-based HTML5 implementation that was designed to support multiple device segments, including the smartphone, tablet, smart TV, netbook, and in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) markets.
On the one hand, I can't watch netflix on linux, because the DRM isn't supported. Netflix is a part of the net that is already "walled off" to anyone who doesn't have an account, but it's walled off to me right now even though I subscribe. That sucks, and it would probably be avoided if Firefox and chrome support DRM as suggested.
OTOH
I can easily foresee a world where pretty much all the content is restricted. Not just movies. News. Weather. Slashdot. Everything will be DRM protected. That sucks worse.
According to Netflix, Microsoft made this possible by implementing three features in its still-unfinished IE11:
The Media Source Extensions (MSE), using the Media Foundation APIs within Windows. Since Media Foundation supports hardware acceleration using the GPU, Netflix can achieve high quality 1080p video playback with minimal CPU and battery utilization.
The Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) using Microsoft PlayReady DRM. This provides the content protection needed for media services like Netflix.
The Web Cryptography API (WebCrypto), which allows Netflix to encrypt and decrypt communication between its JavaScript application and its servers.
Sounds like this is locked into windows via the Media Foundation APIs
I pay about US $50 -- but it's hard to say exactly because I get it bundled with cable and phone service for US $100 a month.
Speedtest.net claims I have 20Mbps down and 2Mbps up. CNET says I get just shy of 18Mbps download speed. So the AC pays $10 less a month for 5x my download bandwidth and 20x my upload. Admittedly anecdotal, but the whole "US leads the world" story doesn't match my experience.
A 40 minute video, half of which is a fast-talking virginia law professor, and the other half of which is a police office. I intended to watch 3 minutes of it, but wound up watching the whole thing. Surprisingly entertaining. And True.
That SONY has a track record of removing useful features and adding less useful ones such as extra copy protection. So as far as a next gen console it's sort of a beggar's choice the consumer is left with.
If there were a way to make it ad supported. A lot of android developers and minecraft modders seem to use ad supported lockers, which are a pain and way less reliable than a torrent.
I never bought an x-box-- went with the PS3 instead. Sony does not exactly have a great track record when it comes to being friendly to their customers. I'd provide links to old slashdot articles highlighting this, but there are really too many to choose just a few.
With Microsoft pulling this kind of crap, there aren't too many choices if I want a next-generation console..

They could roll this test into a Tricorder http://www.qualcommtricorderxprize.org/competition-details/overview

out of curiosity, why hasn't this been done on android? Is the android kernel closed source?

It's really not "anti-US" to point out that it's hard to find decent internet or cell phone service for a reasonable price in this country.

If they go ahead and build this, Matel is going to sue them for patent infringement.
Can't somebody who's interested just pick up the development?

Tuner. It's tuner you illiterate tool.
Is there a +1 Troll mod?
you're 80 years old and infirm? because in my town, which is full of hills and has no sidewalks, I can walk 2 miles in 30 minutes, and I'm not young.
citation?? Because I can't easily find any evidence that it's true. Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_shows_in_the_United_States is obviously not the final word on this but seems to conradict you.

Agreed! I always use bit torrent when I buy a humble bundle.
Most older programs seem to work really well with wine.
But companies should have to pay a $50,000 annual fee for each one they obtain.
You know you want to.
Is it going to have a long story ark over several seasons with a definite beginning, middle and end like B5 did?

That might make for a good "Ask Slashdot".
An Atlanta passenger approached a flight attendant and asked her if she had ever been hijacked before.
I'm guessing since it made it into the TSA hall of shame, it didn't work out too well.
But if this evidence had been made public, even after the election, it might have pressured Nixon to pursue peace rather than escalation in Vietnam.
