    Yeah, because Bumphuck County, KY is going to give a notice to every retailer *in the USA* that they are adding a 2% county tax (But only on items containing sugar, nicotine, ethanol delta9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and gay propaganda) -- and I doubt the local TV stations would even cover that, so some retailer here in Oregon wouldn't have a clue they're charging 2% less than they're going to be liable for. Multiply this by something like 100 counties/state, then add in cities/municipalities.

    Turn ignition off. I've had my car's ECU fail and caused full throttle. Shut engine off. Brake and keep pressure on brakes until stopped to avoid using all the vacuum remaining. Easy.

    Alternatively, take out of gear and let the engine blow up. Certainly better than hitting another vehicle head on at 125mph.

    It's this way here in Portland because people make conscious choices to use them (I believe we have the highest ridership in the US of 'voluntary' riders, i.e., those that own cars, could use them, but choose to use mass transit).
