First of all, kids should not be playing "M" rated games, if you're a parent and you allow this you are a bad parent.
Secondly, I see no difference between M and AO, it's only one freaking year of difference, it's not like there's a big difference between a 17 year old and an 18 year old.
The console makers need to get their heads out of their asses too, there's no reason that the system should refuse to play AO rated games. There's obviously a market demand for AO content and it's up to me to decide what to play on my system.
Thankfully we still have PC gaming which has no restrictions at all.
That's fine if you have the time and skill to do that, you also need a place to store all those parts. Personally I either put stuff on Freecycle or just throw it out, I don't have time to mess with it and I'm not going to clutter up my apartment with useless junk.
If the rest of the world stopped using our root name servers it wouldn't have much affect on us, they could even build their own internet if they wanted to. Seriously, we need to just stand up and tell the UN to fuck off.
I want to get the 360 just for Halo 3, for $279 I'd buy one in a heart beat. Sorry fan boys, not everything MS does is evil, the Xbox is one thing they got right.
So rails sucks because you don't know how to use it? This article could apply to any language. Thinking about PHP? Think again, perl doesn't everything PHP can do and then some.
When you're writing a project you need to look at what your existing code base uses and choose something that integrates with it, or just stick with what you know. Every application our company uses is written in perl and they run great, HTML::Mason makes it a lot like PHP any way.
It's not news to anybody that's competent that Linux can save you money. In my industry (web hosting) I'd say 90% of servers are Linux systems. We do have some Windows servers but that's only because customers ask for them and MS literally bribes us to sell them (free licensing, training, cash, etc.)
In the long run Linux servers are much, much cheaper. We have servers that have been running for over 440 days without an issue and these are Redhat 7.3 servers. No viruses, no worms, no break-ins, nothing. Try putting an NT 4 box online and see what happens.
Seriously, MS pulls crap like this all the time, not to mention Windows is a buggy piece of crap that's a real pain to use.
This is just one of the reasons I refuse to run Windows and I refuse to support it. If somebody is having problems with their Windows stuff I tell them to call Microsoft or buy a Mac.
First of all, this guy is not banned from using linux. Under the terms of his probation he has to install monitoring software or not use a computer, you could just as easily say that he is banned from using a Macintosh.
Second, he's lucky he's not just sitting in jail for the next five months. He committed a crime and now he has to face the consequences, boo-hoo. Am I supposed to feel sorry for this guy? Here's a tip. If you don't want to go to jail for copyright infringement, DON'T PIRATE STUFF!
Once data is imported MySQL is usually fast. Of course SQLite would be even faster, and no database server is needed, it's just a regular file. For a project like this SQLite would a perfect fit, I actually wrote my entire site using it.
You know, there's PLENTY of creative commons and public domain music out there that you don't need to play their crap. Don't play their music and you don't have to worry about royalties, and the RIAA doesn't have to worry about people ripping their music. Everybody wins.

As if they care.

Of course, I could have paid extra to get a more secure box, but budget was an issue, and my plans were pretty simple for the machine.
So you expect them to harden the machine for free?
Sure servers take power, but what are you getting out of it?
And who do you think has the time to waste? Kids.
Sounds like most of the people I know. I think web 2.0 appeals to a younger crowd, seems to be mostly teenagers on those sites.
PHPPgAdmin, it's similar to phpMyAdmin. I believe ODBC is also supported so you could even use Access (yuck) as a frontend.

Speaking of SQL, just use PostgreSQL and you don't have to worry about stuff like that.

What about it? It's called freedom of speech, deal with it.

Try SQLedger.
Um, the NSA created selinux.

Check out Vtiger, it's a really nice CRM and also has ticketing features.
The keyboard port is always on the bottom, it's not that hard to remember.
There ARE data centers in Arizona, Iknow of a few hosting companies located in Phoenix.
You say that like it's a bad thing.
I wish I had mod points right now.
