I couldn't agree enough. eZ Publish is the most flexible CMS out of a large number I have evaluated. Like most PHP programmers at some point in their web career, I was considering writing my own CMS (as I already had kind of partially written one anyway) but as soon as I really began planning how I would build it I realised that eZ was exactly what I was planning to build.

There is a good list of small embedded linux devices at (strangely enough) linux devices which should help you out.

One that isn't on that list but which looks pretty much perfect is the meshcube

but there's also the Wireless Router Application Platform which looks pretty interesting and is actually affordable without any expensive developer kit required

I remember using Viewpoint about 5 years ago for web based 3d. It would gradually stream in the points of the mesh so that as it was recieving the data, the model would gradually build itself as you watched. Maybe this is what you are thinking of?

IIRC it was a very impressive piece of technology. It could be placed in an html layer and was transparent with a nice drop shadow over whatever content was beneath it. It used a binary format to deliver the actual models, than an xml file defined how they should be arranged, animated, etc.

Their site is here, but at a glance I can't really see if they still do 3d - just some kind of media player thing.

This is true (the problems with DVD+R, that is) but I have just boughta LiteON DVD burner which allows you to set the booktype to DVD-ROM, instead of DVD+R (You can only do this on DVD+R disks iirc. DVD-Rs already have the booktype set)

This means that there are now virtually no compatability problems at all now. PS2s used to have problems with +Rs, but using this they play them fine now.

So I took a look at AWStats and (although slower - it's written in perl not compiled c) it looks to have a lot more useful features.

Usefully though, I came across this comparison chart comparing these three options plus another. Hope this helps.
