Im going to have to agree. I had my car break down on me and I had to travel from the San Fernando Valley into Downtown LA 3 times per week. At first, I thought it was going to be a pain... until I realized that spending $5 on a day pass (I think month passes were $45) and taking the 412 Commuter Express was an option. Not only was I saving money (my old car was a 280Z turbo, got 18MPG if I was lucky), but also the headache of driving into town every day. I spent most of my trip there doing school work on my laptop.
I've since moved to a part of California where public transportation is just terrible (Ventura County), so I need to have my own car to even think about getting to work in under 2 hours for a 25 mile trip.
So then we should only allow games like the Smurfs from Colecovision because that is the only game where nobody gets injured and lacks any kind of moral choice? You're really stretching for a point here.
This is why I never cared to much about gaming journalism outside of a few YouTube channels I trust. Everyone is either bought out, or pushing an agenda that offends me. Hell, I stopped reading PCGamer around the time I saw a banner ad for the ME3 Review. You know what it said? "Reviewed on PC". NO SHIT, I'd hope that PCGamer is reviewing things on PC.
I'm paying $60/month right now for unlimited everything on T Mobile, but I don't get throttled data (yes, I did get full LTE speed for 37GB one month), and it includes tethering. If you are not as data heavy as I am, you can easily get an unlimited plan for $40, if not less.
Super late to this, but I would just like to note that for the large national bank that I work for, we require machines to be on, but have no users logged in, for us to do a remote Windows XP to Windows 7 migration. This is mostly so we can run a Scanstate against the machine prior to reimaging it.
So no Bus or Train has ever been in an accident that has caused fatalities? That, and there is something nice about taking my car instead of getting shoved up against a person who hasn't showered in a week and the sick lady coughing all over the place.
Nonreturnable Items: Opened computer software, movies, music and video games can be exchanged for the identical item but cannot be returned for a refund
He can get an identical copy of the software, thats it. No refund. Why? Because people buy software, return the disk, but burn the CD key so it's no longer valid.
Also, you've never worked at a retail store's computer repair before. Its "We can look into it... at a discounted rate" or if they do look into it for free, its put on low priority and put off until someone finally gets around to it.
Would mod up if I had points. VAC bans are game specific. Also, VAC scans memory and uses file signatures, not names, to determine hacking programs. Try trolling harder.
I have a Korean 27" 1440p monitor i got for $300 about a year ago. I'm planning on getting that new Samsung 4k monitor with my next paycheck for $700. You just need to know where to look.
No paying to play online, plenty of F2P games that don't blow, your ability to use the input of your choosing, cheaper games, mod support, ability for users to revive old communities (Tribes 2 is alive and kicking by using a custom authorization mechanism), graphical fidelity (Even $550 systems can do 1080P/60FPS at higher graphical fidelity than XB1/PS4), ability to upgrade and customize your system without being XBL banned (New HDD because 500GB is too small? Banhammer), not being locked into buying officially supported peripherals, true multitasking, more exclusives, friendlier for indie development, and a more mature community. Should I continue?
AMD drivers don't suck in Windows, but have a worse track record under Linux. So it's really both.
OEM license are 'illegal' in the same sense that the MSDN keys are. The TOS states that the person installing the OEM software is not supposed to be the same person that is using the computer it was put on. It's meant as a copy to resell.
Seriously, if you are lazy and don't care about grey market keys, I always suggest getting a key from/r/SoftwareSwap. I got a MSDN Win 8.1 Pro key for $10 5 months ago, and it hasn't been deactivated yet. Assuming you get the MSDN Windows key, you can easily get a killer system for under $600
That's weird. At my old apartment, both of my computers were in the living room, hooked up to the TV (one for me, one for my roommate). We'd switch off using it sitting on the couch depending on what we were playing. Sometimes when we had people over, we'd just toss a game up on the screen while playing.
Hell, most of my PC gamer friends all have their PC hooked up to a monitor and have a cable run to their TV in their bedroom. As for the last point, hopefully it won't be that much of an issue anymore with Steam Streaming.
Games like Hawken, Blacklight: Retribution, DotA 2, and LoL are are examples of F2P model done right. When done properly, the games are amazing, and some of us with disposable incomes do toss the developers some cash.
As for the AAA bullshit - if you think that the only reason to game is AAA titles, then you are everything that is wrong with gaming. I've spent countless hours trying to get better scores on Hotline: Miami and get different endings on Papers, Please.
Well unless you live with shitty roommates.
I'm 49.7Gb so far this month and no throttling. It really is unlimited.

You know, you were doing great until the strawman argument at the end.
There is a difference between someone who DJs and someone who does a Live PA. Deadmau5 does Live PAs, and does not DJ.
Basically every women in a JRPG disagrees with you.

Unless you count me joking around about being a hooker on DayZ, well, DayZ.

There was a change to this law recently. You can now get a concealed carry permit by stating it's your second amendment right.

Just about your Sig, its Chelsy Manning now or some crap like that.

Best Buy would have just told him no returns on open box software no matter how irate he got.

The over 27" part is a good point though.
Did not know that. Thanks for the heads up on that one.

ATI drivers have been fine for me. I just always have to run latest beta drivers. Unless you're on Linux, then yeah, I see your point.
