In the scheme of things, MK is a very low appeal game. Anything fighting game made by Midway at that. Capcom and Arc System Works are the two companies we'd have to go after (Street Fighter/Marvel Vs. series and Guilty Gear/BlazBlue respectively). The two major world tournaments (Super Battle Opera and EVO) are almost all Capcom and ASW. EVO is adding Skullgirls (Reverge Labs), and of course you can't forget SNK's amazing work in the KoF series. We already have SSFIV AC and SFxT on PC, but other than that, we're lacking.

Seriously, this bickering between the two parties gets us nowhere, and keeps us blind to the corporations slowly stealing our rights. If we stay divided over petty shit, we're all fucked in the long run.

So much this. I used to be a field electrician and a ETC certified repair technician (they make 3 phase 700 amp dimmer racks), and took a job doing audio afterwards. One day in the field my boss was yelling at the electrician for the show to "give him more neutral" because the neutral leg was arcing when he was trying to tie in. Yeah, it tends to do that if you plug in all the hot leads and have all the amps and distro on. I'm still amazed my old boss hasn't killed himself yet.

I realize that I'm a statistical outlier on this one but I actually play better in competitive settings while slightly drunk. There is a weird sweet spot somewhere in the .10x area for me that I have better reaction times and judgement than if I was slightly buzzed, sober, or completely drunk. My clan mates can attest to this, as I do better in tournaments in this area than if I were sober. They actually tell me to hit a few beers before we get into matches.
