  1. Batman's the only true superhero on The Boy Who Loved Batman · · Score: 2

The thing is, Batman is the only superhero who doesn't have ANY super-power. He's totally human, doesn't believe in using guns (due to seeing his parents shot dead), using only his self-invented bat gadgets to fight crime. No Superman strentgh, no radioactive enhancement, just a very vulnerable mortal with a sense of moral outrage, who can be killed. Best. Superhero. Ever!

No way in these politically correct times they'd do a movie based on that Batman, too many impressionable minds to worry about these days. A shame though, you were a street thug and screwed with detective Batman, you'ld be thrown off a rooftop without a seconds hesitation. No other rendition of Batman can ever compare to that twisted one

All right, JD Powers did a survey that says Apple buyers are a happy bunch. Good for them, they use an amazing device. Now, what does that have to do with the fact that Apple wants to make it impossible for me to buy a Galaxy? That is unfair, let the free market eventually decide. Did'ja ever notice how when a bully is confronted with the truth, they get louder. They start to attempt to intimidate by any means at their disposal. When confronted with facts, they get confused, and don't know what to do as their audience catches on and begins to drift away. That's when they become more desperate and turn to larger bullying tactics. Then the bullied either stands their ground or meekly lets the bully win. There are times when the best course of action for the bullied is to walk away, and hopefully live to fight another day. IMHO, for this is not one. Apple has been losing their ardent followers for some time now. People have seen android as a very viable alternative, and are switching over. Apple knows this, or they wouldn't be resorting to these bully tactics. I root for the underdog in life, and love it when the bullies lose.

He retires at 65, & rewards himself by going to gamble for the very first time ever to Atlantic City. 3 days later, after losing everything, all the $ he saved for retirement, and the deed to his house, he drives back, and jumps off the Verrazano Bridge to his death. I'd expect to see a rise in stories like this, online gambling is too damn easy, and problem gamblers fall into that trap of thinking, "I can get it back, I'm due to hit! The only other video game out then was the Magnavox and Sears "Pong", which only had 4 varities of pong, and maybe a light sensing pistol with which you tried to hit a large white square bouncing around the tv screen. After playing nothing but pong, the 2600 seemed like a Cray Supercomputer to people then.

The 7800 was an improved 5200, a succesful game system. The 7800 had nothing extra special to entice buyers, and marked the beginning of the end for Atari. I had the 5200, came with the dual-potentiemeter + keypad joysticks, and 4 fast response fire buttons (that broke down soon after several hours of use). A large-ish library of quality games like "Star Raiders", "Galaxian", "Robotron 2084", and the best "Joust" port ever! Many non-Atari companies also made some quality titles for the 5200, helping to extend it's popularity. With the 7800 came slightly better graphics, a return to the more reliable 8-way/2 button joystick, though no new game titles and it's high cost doomed the 7800. Atari attempted it's last comeback with the first ever handheld dedicated video game system, the $200 Lynx. It had a fantastic color screen and no decent games to support it. The Lynx was too expensive for the time, and I belive it was the last Atari game system made.

Why is a court/patent fight still allowed over Tetris? I mean, it's an old game from 19-freaking-84!!! The answer must, as usual, be $$money$$. (from Wikipedia...) Tetris (Russian: ) is a tile-matching puzzle video game originally designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov in the Soviet Union. It was released on June 6, 1984, [2] while he was working for the Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of the Academy of Science of the USSR in Moscow. [3] He derived its name from the [Russian] numerical prefix tetra-(all of the game's pieces contain four segments) and tennis, Pajitnov's favorite sport. [4][5] It is also the first entertainment software to be exported from the USSR to the U.S. and published by Spectrum Holobyte for Commodore 64 and IBM PC. The Tetris game is a popular use of tetrominoes, the four element special case of polyominoes. Polyominoes have been used in popular puzzles since at least 1907, and the name was given by the mathematician Solomon W. Golomb in 1953. However, even the enumeration of pentominoes is dated to antiquity. (from Wikipedia)

I've mostly worked home improvement type jobs to earn my money, so I find myself in pretty decent health compared to guys I know who are in their 30's, 40's, & 60's. One 300lb. musician friend who has diabetes showed me the handful of pills he has to swallow 2+ times a day, some just to negate the effects of the other meds. He's even hooked on 'pain' pills (read 'heroin' in pill form), the 'pain' is just an excuse for him to go off into la-la land when he wants to. And I just moved from a house where one 60 yr old guy has been nothing but an angry a@@%#&e for his entire life. Now, with only maybe 2 decades left, he'll probably die an angry fool, having missed out on all the good that life had to offer him. All I could do was watch him explode, and think to myself, "I am SO glad that I'm not him!" So my advice to all the younger than me whippersnappers out there, take care of your health. Avoid drugs and alcohol as much as you can. Love deeply, and don't sweat the small shit that life hits us with. Learn to forgive everybody everything, just so you don't end up like that angry guy. Because when your're in your 80's, you'll look back at your life and realize, "It was ALL small shit!" Now go take your fancy iPod and go out and have some fun with the people you love and who love you. Because that's all that really matters in this life, the people that we have in it. Once they're gone you can't replace them. As opposed to things like cars and tech stuff, just replaceable metal and plastic, really. And instead of trying to 'get happy' with drugs, pills, or alcohol, try performing "random acts of kindness".
