I go to quite a few concerts and have had to buy bot bought tickets to get to some shows.
The big two, Live Nation and TicketMaster do have captchas, and they give them several times throughout the buying process. However, it is very easy to fake many of these systems. In addition, at least live nation now offers resale tickets on their own website. That means they are double dipping, the original sale+fees, plus commission+fees on resale tix. The have no incentive to stop this process.
IMHO, that is where the problem lies, not the scalpers. The system as it is is broken, but it is allowed to be broken by the companies that sell tickets as the market operates in their favor.
The only real fix I see to this is to associate a CC or ID with the ticket purchase and require it to be presented with the ticket for admission. This creates a whole host of other issues, such as inability to resale or gift easily, plus longer, slower lines at venues.
The doesn't work in non UEFI systems. Win 10 uses a unique hardware signature that is opaque and matched to SIG's in the activation servers. Add ram, swap a drive, reinstall all good, swap a mobo or other major changes and no more activation love from MS.
Far better to use Google apps or even o365. You have more granular control over users, true archiving, etc. But if you are super cheap Gmail is the best free option.
I can claim I made an ICE powered automobile that gets 3000 MPG. The fact that my claim is bunk does not make all internal combustion engines stop working.
How One Plus does on the junkware front? I have seen many cheap android tablets with adware apps baked in and poor security settings out of box (allow install from 3rd party sources including the baked in adware).
If OnePLus is smart enough not do do this, or there is enough community support for fully functional ROMS, this could be my next phone. I prefer Ting, but currently use a nexus 6 on Google Fi as I need to be able to switch networks on the fly. Due to the nature of my business, if one carrier has poor signal in a building, I need an alternate. I can do that with Ting, but manually switching SIMS to go between Sprint and T-mo broke my sim slot once. Dual SIM and good specs/price could be the answer.
You sir are a fucking idiot. I try to avoid ad hominem but I cannot here. The ONLY people who say the earth is a very specific, certain age are religious believers who think it was created at a certain time.
Any branch of science that has a clue gives a range.. it is 'about' this old. That range is adjusted as new evidence brings to light things we do not know. If physics, geology, cosmology, and chemistry do not agree, then things are revisited.
Trying to say that an estimation error in one chemical process by one research group invalidates all of science is like saying one contradictory verse invalidates the entire bible. I bet you wouldn't like it if I did that would you?
Yep. How else are we supposed to make sure our coworkers and employees have not passed out or had a heart attack while defecating. It is all for safety of the user!
And I'll be honest - killing you is hard. You know what my days used to be like? I just tested. Nobody murdered me, or put me in a potato, or fed me to birds.
Here is why.
I work for a small IT shop/MSP. We use logic now/GFI tools to manage machines. The bukt in remote tool is called TakeControl, but is simply a slightly modified TeamViewer. The client and board backend negotiate a regularly changing passphrase for remote access, it is out of user control. The rest of the protocol and software is the same.
We have not yet had a single one of our managed PCs or servers report any activity like this. If there was a breach at Teamviewer, Takecontrol enabled computers managed by MSPs are often small/mid sized businesses and make a much juicer target. The passwords to connect to these machines would exist in teamviewers infrastructure the same as anyone elses.
And how many dead bodies did we litter the bottom of the ocean with exploring it? Exploration is risky stuff. You mitigate what you can, but you are doomed to failure if you never start.
How was it breaking and entering? I put the master key in the lock and the lock opened based on the configuration set by the manufacturer.
Not saying this is right, but it is how it will be presented. These clowns do not care about intent. If the intent of the law was to protect, then they would welcome true penetration tests that are conducted and reported ethically. Instead the laws, and they way they are prosecuted, are designed to protect those in power, those who execute poor judgement.
If a factory in north america can make the same product with the same robots as one in china, then shipping costs become an unneeded expense.
However that leaves other costs for: remaining workforce, labor, enviromental and tax laws that may be favorable elsewhere, capital expenditure to build new factories, etc.
A data point of one does not mean that these devices are accurate. I would be willing that fit of the device is a large portion of any variance, but what is needed is testing, and to determine if the company willfully misled consumers.
A serious question about the squabble. Even if GW is not AGW, even if GW is not real, why should we not as a species work to reduce our impacts everywhere?
Nice selectivity there. My point was that it is -fiction-, but then again many of the basement dwelling neckbeards and libertarian cuckoos here have a hard time recognizing that fact.
Uh... dude you can compile your own APK if you so wish and sideload it. Most won't, but most people don't compile any of their own software.
Yes, but it funny where if you change the crime/justification the same criminals will be revulsed.
"That 12 year old had a crush on me, she wanted it."
"I like to think that you should have moved your face away from my fist."
"She still would have had sex with me if she wasn't drunk and roofied."
"The bank is insured, so it is like I stole from no one."

Would gas pressure suit you better? You may know have knowledge of exhaust gas pressure since your o-ring is blown out AC.

Followed closely by Microsoft's "Bend over, it will only hurt a little." rewards plan.

now doesn't that make you feel better? the pigs have won tonight now they can all sleep soundly and everything is all right

With smart-device integration into cloud based internet of things services, we can leverage big data aggregation from your refrigerator!

VERSIONED BACKUPS! VERSIONED BACKUPS! VERSIONED BACKUPS! Automated, off-site, and with rollback. Hell, carbonite can do this for her.

Not in a laptop. They are still a matrix direct to the mobo.

Yep, still running a Gopher server on AIX. The way god intended. Been looking at PERL 2, but me thinks it is the tower of Babel.
