I actually coded a multi-player tetris in QB. Even though there is no socket code, there is file access. It was done simply by reading and writing to a pair of files in a network mapped drive. The only reason it was a pair of files was that one file could be locked briefly when a machine was reading/writing to it. It worked quite well on the 486's of the day. I have no idea how it would scale though.
Educating people is fine, but the elitists will always say swear that x is better than y, even if it is provably otherwise. Just like some people will swear they saw Elvis working as a hooker at the Rt. 97 truck stop blowing Jesus.
Once we automate the factories, we will hire more managers and executives.
Once we outsource the call centers we will hire more technicians.
Once we use all the oil we will invent something else.
I have prime swampland for sale in the Sahara too.
We have to get use to the fact that not all people will be producers in our society and that percentage of non producers will continue to increase. Does that mean that they have no right to a decent life? This is the future we wanted, where things are becoming more automated and peoples lives become easier. Is it really making anything easier. I would say no until we have a sea change in our socioeconomic views.
We realize that you have been involved with 'journalism' on the interwebs for quite some time, and understand it better than us old rich farts. Consequently we would like to pay you to help us figure out how to co-opt it into our greedy corporate hands.
I don't know if any of the above is true but it sounded funny.
This UI of the puzzle is the HTML page, and if coded well has no significant difference in the major browsers, therefore the browsers UI itself should have little impact if any on the results. In addition, only a very small percentage of the population are developers with 20 different browsers on their system. Most users use whatever the default browser it, or install their favorite (or geek nephews recommended) browser and use that.
That Anonymous does not have any moral ground to stand on. Sure they may fight the man, but they'll have no compunction about robbing you blind either. That's not Robin Hood its street punk gangsta with a computer.
...grudging acknowledgement by publishers that readers want to access their content in new ways.
The media companies have not grudgingly acknowledged shit, be it move, music, TV, book, magazine, and news publishers etc. They know that we want new way to access content. Mostly ways where they lose the control they once had. This purchase is just a way to co-opt and grind down an innovator. Do you really think that they purchased the company to help it provide -us- with better service? Think again, providing service is supposed to be a company's main motivator, but control over existing revenue streams and inability to innovate has these behemoths acting reflexively against their customers instead.
...but why ask a question you already know the answer to? Those are the three I would have picked, and likely for the same reasons. Further, if you are doing lessons, then make sure it is distros you are familiar with enough to help and not fumble around.
I telecommute, and I also use Comcast Business Class. ~65 per month gets me modem rental and 12 down 2 up service, with their wonderful powerboost gag. If I need I can add static IPs and have no rate cap up or down. I use it all day with VOIP and video streams going, and then I also use it personally when off shift playing games, watching movies, downloading torrents, etc. So far it has been rock solid stable and now complaints from Comcast about my usage.
...of the fall of Rome.
You better watch out though because the dying body of this beast is still going to kick and flail for another 20-50 years. You don't want to be in the way.

Hmmm. Schrodinger's pussy I guess.

Wii need more competition in the console market. But, unless if fucking comes with Half-Life 3, kiss my ass!
The FCC does not need the authority. A letter to the carrier with DHS letterhead should be enough. It makes everyone else fold up, including verisign.

The funny thing is, I remember computer camps being common in the 80s. Somehow as computers got more popular, computer camps got less so.
That is because those camps were designed to get the geeks like us out of the picture for the summer. Now everyone is a geek.
Just send them over to my house. I'll take care of them.
I just got the Fry-o-later achievement badge in TF2 today!
