OK...how she she be for privacy but also for open records to enforce the DMCA? She lobbied for DMCA enforcement through methods that violate your privacy.... but then to another auduance she says we need more privacy?
So, a normal politican... a different stance for a different groups.

Some ass wipe in sales pointed out that Sun started shipping 8 core machines last year. To make it worse another fucking engineer pointd out that the Sun CPUs pull half the power that our dual core boxes do.
If you read the article, it does note that usages is down from the 1999 high of 238 kilograms per person to only 170 kilograms of copper per person in 2005. At this rate will there be a shortage?
"And in the latest move, the RIAA has sued the descendants of 10,000 MP3 users over the DMCA. For more info about Mp3s, please see your local museum or antique store"
You haven't a clue... you can't build a 1 CPU based off of the next generation PowerPC 970 from IBM. Each chip has two CPUs.
With IBM's fabrication costs, I could see how they could see a 4way box for $3500. Probably 256-512MB ram and a 40-80GB drive along with a CD. Probably very similar to the Sun X1 when it was released.
Data General's AOS/VS operating system had an undocumented command named "XYZZY." In the original 16-bit version, the response was: "Nothing happens." In a later 32-bit version, this was amended to: "Twice as much nothing happens."

I quit.
Sun is currently shipping EIGHT core CPUS, and each core handles 4 threads... so you are talking 32 threads in one RU of space.

What, no mention that Mars is also experiencing a fair amount of Global Warming too ( google for it... articles go back for years)
Will the enviro wackos just hurry up and get that court order against Sol to stop warming up the solar system.
This launch doesn't count for the X-prize. You need to take two passangers up to count for an X-Prize launch.
First there was the Meat Ball
Then the Worm
Then back tot he Meat Ball
So, is it now to the Christmas Tree?

My guess that the largest rocket ever would be the Soviet N1, but the rocket wasn't very successful. It had a big problem blowing up.
:-)
After the N1, I think the Saturn5 would be the most powerfull, and it never went kaBOOM.
Nope, wrong again...
According to the specs from Rockets of the World, the SaturnV is as follows;
Stage 1 was 5,800,000,000 N-s, which would make it 5xAC
Stage 2 was 1,200,000,000 N-sec or a 5xAB
Stage 3 was 450,000,000 N-sec or a AC motor
I can't beleive Canada hasn't launched anything larger than an L... geez folks, it's not that big of a rocket.
So when does SCO sue Sun?
And after that, is Apple next?
Look for a Special Edition RTCW in the store soon. It should include ET.
Calories per second?
Has someone looked at the money trail yet? Microsoft.....

Great... trying to /. the US Military...

He is corrext about AP being stable. I had a frined that use to use a big chunk of AP as an ashtray.
Now, if he was smoking thermolite.... well, it would have been an impressive roman candle.

Then we'll cut the number of dead and dieing compnay storeies in half for the next 5-10 years.
Buy lots of Microsoft stock and retire early.
