Well, Disney could have released the film under one of their many other brands. Like GM (Oldsmobile, Buick, Saturn, etc), Disney has many brands. So, if Miyazaki's film is "too dark", then why not just release it under Dimension or Miramax?
Much like how many people don't know that Pontiac and Oldsmobile are "cousins" (the Grand Am and Alero are almost identical under their skin), most people probably aren't aware that Disney owns these other brands. So, by releasing the movie under a different brand, Disney could give the film a "new image".
A cookie goes to whomever manages to implement this first!:-D"
I don't have a cookie to give to him, but I'd like to grant an honorary cookie to Logic Bomb for correctly using who/whom:-). (I thought I'd never see the day when I'd come across "whom" on Slashdot)
PS Through researching the link for who/whom, I came across this surprisingly interesting discussion on teaching non-native English speakers the finer points of how to use the phrase "the hell!".
* KHTML: extended compatibility with IE's parsing and tokenisation fallbacks for really malformed HTML.
This really disappoints me. A web browser needs to follow the spec and do exactly what the web author says, not necessarily what the web author thought he/she said. One reason for this is interoperability: web authors never know which browser people will be using to view their site. For instance, in a few years, many people could be web browsing from their cell phones using "Nokia Integrated Browser" or something. So, web authors must get the idea that the only long term solution is to write valid code -- and having web browsers that "guess" at what the web author "intended" to write in their code doesn't reinforce that.
FWIW, I find the definition of boulder to be quite interesting: "A large rounded mass of rock lying on the surface of the ground or embedded in the soil". Why not just say "a large rounded mass of rock", and leave it at that?
I believe that Robocop 2 and Robocop 3 were also filmed back-to-back. Ironically, even though the original was Classic (the unrated Director's Cut is even better), the sequels kinda sucked (flying Robocop??).
Much in the same way that some artists say that they know they've really "made it" when Weird Al parodies one of their songs, maybe, in the same way, musicians/actors/athletes know they've made it once they make one of those "I am Sci-Fi" bits.
But, I can't be the only one that would love to see an actual Sci-Fi commercial with CmdrTaco in a CopyLeft shirt belting "No I am Sci-Fi dammit!";)
I really enjoy the music of demos, almost as much as the demos themselves. In fact, I wouldn't mind buying a (Redbook) CD worth of demo-music. [ObInsideJoke: I sure hope you're reading this, Malone!]
Thanks Cerlyn for posting about the MODs -- I'll definitely have to check out modplug (and fwiw, Cublic still rules, as I know of few other MOD players that actually make use of the SoundBlaster's hardware effects). Assuming that no demo-music CDs are available, are there any MOD archives that I should check out in particular? Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind MP3s/Ogg of demo-music, or even a data-CD full of MODs..
Though the double-negative is amusing ("non-asynchronous"), I believe that the opposite of "asynchronous" is "synchronous".
although its a somewhat dark film for Mouse

Ok, let's nip this in the bud: it's a myth that cold/wet weather makes someone more likely to catch a cold.
Popup Killer is freeware.
:-(.
You are quite correct. My bad
Come on, Timothy.. According to my book Requisite Puns for Journalistic Headlines, it clearly states that :
When writing a headline listing three items followed by an exclamation, the exclamation must always be "Oh, my". No exceptions.
Here're an explanation on the difference between then/than. Quick reference:

Except that Popup Killer is non free. Does anyone know of a freeware solution?
Well, that's a start, but is there anywhere that I can buy videogame or demo music in Redbook format?

For those wondering, Sisyphean:
Endlessly laborious or futile
From the changelog:

Err, "boulder". (doh!)

"It picks up a certain audio decibel [...]"
What kind of non-sentence is that? Isn't that like saying that a bouler has "a certain mass kilogram"?
There's also this link on Yahoo News, courtesy of the world authority on layoffs ;). And of course, that has its own message boards on the subject as well.
I don't know about "Lost Art", but I just wish that modern science would get to work on discovering how to release "Lost Ark" on DVD!
Of course, if/when I buy the DVD, I'll donate to the EFF as well to level the playing field.
Ok, so he may have won... but does he have his own hardware review site? Kidding aside, it is quite an achievement.
I'd be interested in seeing how the sales of Code Red have correlated with the public's awareness of Code Red.
I still think they should call it "Quake 4: The Voyage Home".
Who's not happy?
Uhh, people who have to listen to her?
Am I the only one who thinks that "Matrix: Reloaded" is worse than "Attack of the Clones"?
Or, my personal favorite, "Matrix 2: The Eigenvalue".
I believe that Robocop 2 and Robocop 3 were also filmed back-to-back. Ironically, even though the original was Classic (the unrated Director's Cut is even better), the sequels kinda sucked (flying Robocop??).
Bad sci fi movies titled "Reloaded"? Well, no.. But, I can name at least one bad metal album with that title <g>.
(fwiw, I still enjoy their earlier works, just not the recent junk).
