"Oh. The only reason we use Citrix is to run Outlook in it."
Outlook Web Access (OWA). There, I've just saved you 10 minutes per day, or around 60 hours per year. I don't know how many members of staff your company has, but if you're using Citrix, I'd imagine quite a lot... lets say 500.
500 x 60 = 30000 man hours per year saved by switching on OWA and NATing port 443.
Unfortunately, I don't have a seven year old girl to hand. Also, after undergoing the relevant testing, I fear my comment may be far too far down the thread to be pertinent.
A fingerprint reader wouldn't work. Fingerprint reader software (such as the wonderfully open source ThinkFinger) map out a fingerprint by locating easily identifiable marks, such as swirls or dead-ends, and map their proximity to other easily identifiable marks. As this girl is seven its fair to assume that in a few more years her fingers will be twice their current size.
The fingerprint will be the same, but scaled up so all proximity will be lost.
"Microsofting", "wikiing"; I don't know why they don't just googleize everything to a more ISOed format. It would be a lot more businessified for the internetted generation.
Kinda off topic, but... in the last couple of years I bought myself a new watch. I spent a bit more than I wanted to, but I really wanted a Breitling Aerospace. Specifically the one made from Titanium & Gold.
With a christmas bonus in my pocket, I walked into Sefridges jewellery department, tried on the watch I wanted (still wearing it) as the salesmans pitch started;
Salesman: Now this watch is made from titanium, are you aware of the properties of titanium
Me: Yes, very light and very strong, this its why its used in the aerospace industries
Salesman: Thats correct, and its also a self healing metal
Me: Excuse me?
Salesman: thats correct, if you scratch titanium, it will heal the scratch like your body will with a scar
Me:
Salesman: I know, amazing stuff
Me: sooooo, you wouldnt mind if I took a serrated knife to this breitling then
Salesman:
Me: I think someones been telling lies to you, but I am going to buy this watch anyway.
Not a great story, but some people areally are gullable.
Thank you mjh, whereas the other replies merely infuriated me more, (I dont care how many hits google tells me you get for bluetooth dongle,) you've calmed the savage beast. I'll still keep correcting people in conversation though, just for geeks sake.
That site has a very easy to understand howto with plenty of client and server examples. After a day of trawling through the OpenVPN documents, this howto was a breath of fresh air.
The majority of advertising isnt to sell a specific product, its all about brand marketing.
Do you really think Coca-Cola or Nike really need to advertise their soda/ trainers. People will buy them anyway. However, the fact that these two logos are globally better known than the logo for the UN really says something.
Welcome to the consumer driven society that the western world holds to such acclaim. However I dont agree with you
I recently had to travel to North Korea (don't ask... work related) much as I had to travel to the former Soviet Union, and billboards are noticeable by their absence. These places look dull. Even though we have advertising forced on us 90% of the time advertisements are (usually) asthetically pleasing, vibrant and a sign of economic growth.
Yeh, they annoy me a lot of the time too, but they are a symptom of everything we westeners (I'm British) hold dear about our way of life.
... doesn't work.
But then again, neither does submitting a /. comment.
Real men run as root.
Hey, why's my mouse moving all by itself?
I wish people would stop using the word Pirate; they're merely redistributing content.
Option 3 looks good to me.

Easier solution.
Turn it off, turn it on. Nothing was written to running-config.
Now wait the same 15 minutes, only 15 seconds earlier.

They're gonna to blow, I'm gonna have to eject the warp core...
If instead this were the server that updates Fox News with all of Microsoft's latest FUD about Linux insecurities, then you have irony my friend.
Hmmm, that picture of the Stirling Engine in the Wiki article you referenced reminds me of something... I just cant seem to quite put my finger on it.

Lameness filter is a lameness filter
Do you have a copy of the script? I could do with that for the server I'm building right now.
I couldn't agree more; if we send a Kirk image however, we'll gain intergalactic respect.

If I had karma, I'd vote informative. I had no idea Sketchup existed; you have no idea how many trees you've just saved!

These guys plugged several bluetooth peripherals into a laptop.
Sorry, but this is a technology site.
Let me know the IP address range of your W2K3 web farm and I'll show you things Windows can do that Linux cant....
