I though everyone knew that Turnitin is a subsidary of www.schoolsucks.com! They have to claim ownership of papers so that they can publish them on their other OTHER site.
Not really, at least in terms of wide acceptance. Western union has a competiter, so does ebay. And I think one or two real banks do. The problem with these other services is that you have to find someone else who accepts them. Billpoint has gained some ground on ebay, but as far as I know that's about it. No idea if they're any better. Stick with a check card. It's probably the safest bet.
My simple ten steps to bitchslap a spammer.
1) look at the source
2) find the domain of the sending server (nine times out of ten it's hotmail or yahoo in my case)
3) select the spam and hit the forward button
4) paste the entire message source along side the original
5) send it to abuse@whateverdomain.com it came from.
6) delete the message
7) delete the reply from the isp when you get it
8) there is not eight
9) go back to what you were doing before
10) ummm...er that's it.
Not gurentied to work everytime, but it at least requires that they get a new mail account generally. With practice the whole process should take about 5 seconds per message, depending on your mail client. Of course you could just write a script, if you're lazy.
But it is popular with the tech crowd and, according to industry estimates, runs about 30 percent of all computers servers -the powerful computers that function as hubs on a network.
Sorry, but I can't help but question the credibility of the reporter who wrote the artical.
Add a soupçon of artificial intelligence and the suit could save its wearer if he

Imagine some 31337 Russian h4x0r taking control of a division or two for nice game of war craft. Brings a whole new meaning to being 0wn4d!
Should you get this job, you may very well have to deal with Microsoft execs that 'know' that they are 'right'. How would you go about dealing with people who absolutely possitivelly think that they are right, and yet you know they're wrong, and you have to change their mind? Having 'right' on your side is all well and good in a dispute, but if sides 'know' that they are right, things get difficult.
Would anyone be willing to give me a few hundred thousand dollars so I can get the lightsaber?"
If someone gave ME a couple hundred thousand dollars, I'd buy or build something slightly more
badass
AND more
usefull
than a NON-FUNCTIONAL lightsaber. Besides, every burgler within a hundred miles would be gunning for your house if word got out that you had an item like that:P
I always wondered why they looked the other way in highschool when it came to students using tobacco, crack, pot, etc, but using school computers for games got an automatic suspension. At least the schools understand the dangers of gaming!
This obviously has everything it needs for a low cost / low power cluster. Can anyone tell me if would make a cost effective rendering cluster (eg, Maya)?
' I say we specifically look for titles with this sticker, purchase them, give them a whirl in our PCs and see them not play, and return them
Before you return them, rip em with a good ol' Hi-fi settup, and then post them on all you favorite swap services. In otherwords, give the labels a double finger.
Oates said he uses his computer for games, and that the computer discs police found were blanks used to record music.
Hmm. So he was playing high stakes poker with some people he 'knew' online, and won the CDs from this 31337 h4x0r who couldn't gamble worth schitt. uh-uh.

Here are a few choice quotes from slashdot's *caugh* *caugh* favorite senator from todays Enron coverage [cnn.com].
"There's a culture of government corruption,"
He seems pretty self aware for a politician.
"I've never seen a better example of cash-and-carry government than this Bush administration and Enron."
I wonder how much cash HE's received from the movie ass of america to carry this?
Here is the Pulse. Here is Jack Valentis finger, far from the pulse, jammed straight up his ass.
