I think it has to do with the fact hey are going to develop software to run both suse and windows at the same time. think about it, getting suse users to run windows on thre sytem while not having to lose suse, its another license and more cash for M$. Also they could make the software buggy specifically towards suse and O darn, its easer to deal with windows in this setup, then guess what people well use.
You may prefer to see Jail time, I would rather see them be forced spend time deleating the spam off computers one message at a time. that or a good bull wip is also a good idea.
http://recordingindustryvspeople.blogspot.com/ is one that could be affected as its based out of NY, and is defentlay one that a lot of people pay attention to. This seams a little over the top to be honest
I have to admit this is defentlay a very interesting topic. But its actulay interesting as people do move out of here. For good example, Bush has not been the most populer presedent, when he wone and when he started the second gulf war, there where large increases in the number of US citizens moving to Canada. I am in a interesting situation being a Canadian but I am working in the US. I would rather live in canada, but as I a not that long out of university, my computer experence on paper is only a few years. In canada witht he flood of comuter people, its hard to get a job, so I am here. but to be honest, this is tempary, as I do plan on moving back to Canada. It may have higher taxes and defentlay have its own problems, every countery dose, I still prefer it to the US.
Now as for where I would go if I where a US citizean, well Canada is defentlay a major choice. Why, well the standard of living is there, and its very similer to the US style of living, but politicaly ther eis a decent amount of diffrences on how thigns are run. Other places I can see US people moving to would be England, Australia, and places that generaly speak english. Majority of the Us speak english, so odds are they would try and move to a location they could atleast communicate in. Now why don't people leave, there is always the money thing, its not cheep to move, and even more fun to move across borders, experence talking here. Second great you don't like how th US is being run, thats fine but what aobut these other palcess, how much information can you relay gather on them from here. More these days thanks to the Net, but still not as much as most would hope as a lot of thigns come from just plane experence and word of mouth. So is the serpent you know any worse or better to the one you don't know.
I quote The cluster of thousands of stars dispersed billions of years ago due to a lack of gravitational pull
Well depending on how close the stars realy where, I see the idea of lack of gravity as kind of dumb. If they where far enough apart that there was not enough gravity to hold them together, then how would you even consider these sibblings to begin with. So lets make a assumption here, there was gravitional forces that would atleast cause some affect on these clusters of stars. Wouldent there be some sort of attraction meaning some collisions or obrits of stars. wouldent there more evidance of some sort of orbit of stars as they circled one another over milions of years from the gravity. But them just splitting up dose not sound that right to me.
To be honest, I do beleave they do have a nuke, as in all honesty a nuke is first year stough in university. ITs relay not that complicated, once you ahve the raw material (plutonium), then all you nead is a explosion pushing on the mass of material from all sides at once with enough pressure to start a reaction. I know, basic explination and timing on the explosion around the material is very impotant but still not that hard for todays tech. He has tech, so I am betting he has nukes. I am more interested in how usable the nukes he has are. As the news here pointed out, it was not a big one and most likealy very custom built, and most importantaly VERY BIG, say the size of a car. The hard part is pack a nuke into a missle and have the nuke be able to survive the trip in the missle. So I beleave they have a nuke, but not one thats very usable or deliverable yet. That means we still have time (years even) before he has somthing he can easealy deliver to a target. So if the world well get off its but and deal with the issue then maybe we well not see a nuck attack in the rest of many of our life times.
most of these sites just ask are u over 13, or over 18/19/21 depending on the state you live in. All you do is click yes, and you are in. What kid in there right mind well get there parents premision to be on a social site for fun, I never would when I was a kid.
The problem is that this guy and his company accepted money from US citizens who were on US soil in exchange for providing a service that is illegal in the US. It would be trivial for him to refuse credit card transactions for cards where the address on record is in the US, and at least then he'd have plausible deniability. Of course, doing so destroys most of his market, so it's easy to see why he wouldn't do that.
Well I am a Canadian who is working in the US currentlay. I have a Canadian credit card, and it is legal to gamble online in Canada. These sites for poker and such are quite commonaly advertised on TV and such. But if I do it here, with a canadian credit card, I can still be jumped by some backwards thinking goverment. I realy don't do this stough, hell not even interested in csino's at all which is the same thing. Yet a casino is legal in the US but not online gambling. Somthing just don't seem right about all this. If people want to waste there cash, let them, and be done with it.
In all honesty, I have not bought a new cartrage in a LONG time. I usualy buy re-ferbished or no name ones from say staples. And as sad as this sounds, I ususaly get more out of these then I have over a brand new HP/Insert Other here cartrage. They may relay need ink sales, but yeash, at least be a little resanable with the pricing considering the cheep ones are better overall from what I have found.
Sending "you will die in seven days" millions of times to your ex-employer does not qualify as spamming in my book. He wasn't sending advertisements. He wasn't collecting personal information to resell. He wasn't doing anything that typically qualifies as spamming.
Tell that to the sysadmin who had to do all the grut work to find the kid and take care of the spam. I say make him work for a companey under a sysadmin who is about ready to snap. Be a grunt for a while doing the worst jobs possable. But being sent to his room, I rember being sent to my room, I would read comic books, or play sega. Wish my boss would send me to my room >:)=
Certainly SCO has done enough to anger the geek community without us needing to throw any more fuel on the fire.
Wait, so you want me to stop adding gas to the fire ??? but dam look at the size of this thing, and if it gets a little (very little) bigger we can toss ALL of SCO in at once, and we all want to see that >:)=
My father and a few others form several sites in his company where headed for some training in the US some ware (he came form Canada eh). He called me and told me what happened to one of the guys coming from another site. Basically some lady had a bottle of hand cream with her on the flight which first off, should have never made it onto the plane with the added and o so important and useful security (note added sarcasm). Of course the person in question decides to use this on the plane, which an attendant sees. As I was told, the plain might as well have been a fighter at the rate they got down to the runway some ware. The entire group of passengers had the fun of a strip search out on the tarmac as well as all there luggage searches. The guy who told the story has not even seen his luggage since, so needless to say he is not happy.
I can understand the point of security, but I have heard so many stories that it's not even funny of things happening at airports, though this one takes the cake. In the end what gets me the most is, even with this HIGH security in effect; some lady was able to casually carry a bottle of hand cream onto the plane without issue. So because security can't even do there job right, we get things like this happening. And now you want me to put my laptop in luggage (I know ban was lifted but hey), what are they nuts. I arrived in Ca 2 weeks ago, one of my brand new bags was crushed, and all the support plastic at the top of the bag that holds the handle in place was shattered to bits. They replaced the bag at least, just happened to have a spare new bag of same size in the back room. But in the end we still have heighten security which dose nothing, ticked off customers getting strip searched or at the least mad they can't take the bottle of coke they bought IN the terminal once past security on the plane. At least set it up so no liquids past the gate, then in the security zone the coke at the vending machine is fare game.
Ok seriously, dose the record industry think going after kazaa well stop internet downloads. First ff, kazaa is pain anyway, seriously screwing up network traffic. There are already much better solutions out there to acquire music. Any time some web site or program gets taking down, another always seams to come in to take its place. The RIAA needs to get a clue and say, we can't beat it, lets find a way to use it. And they are also to dumb to realize its already helping them as it is. I have so many friends who download a cd before they buy it. If its crap, hay pay for it, if it's good then they get it.
But what program do you think are next on the list to take over from kazaa and be the next target of the RIAA/MPAA.
1: Have a guy invent windows to spy on everyone 2: Keep everyone's phone records 3: Prevent the young in school to create there own sites and ideas on the net 4: Control the entire internet 5: Give out the new uniforms

NASA's Shuttle Plans

This seams like a step backwords to me. I agree compleatealy, lets look a the single stage concepts that the origional space shuttle design was ment to be. The reason for the single stage is costs, we go back to this old style, and well what little cash ther eis wel dry up FAST
one interesting question I have is, if I am Canadian, but some of my data is stored on a US database, then dose this Patriot Act give the US government full rights to view this information at there own accord. If that's true, then its interesting to see how even though I am not in the US, they can still do things to me. Time to relay look at where companeys I deal with store there records.
Um, thought the US the land of the free. Honestly I feel sorry for some of the crap that US citizens well have to go through and loss of freedoms this Patriot Act removes from you.
I am reminded of what a US senator said a few years back, though this is not word for word, or can I find a reference.
Yes but take a look at all the other toys out there such as joy sticks that have this fine control. I ahve a logeth force feedback stearing weel and there force feedback stearing weel. The idea of controling the vibration to a fine degree is nothing new at all
Can't squeaze blood from a rock. By the time IBM and SCO are in cort SCO will be worth less then my new pants. So even if IBM could SUE, SCO will be so worthless that its not even worth wasting IBM's time
I am about the same. Picked it up and first thing I saw that the multi player was between useless and useless. This is 2004 guys, and a multiplayer with a max of maby 4 players. 8 if you got a oc3. ITs a good game in general, but not near the ground smashing hit it was ment to be. Graphics are impressive In ahver to admit and I can't wate to see quake 4 using this game engine. but doom 3 itself is just somehow lacking. and other gaming friends are all saying the same thing. Cool pop a monster BAM. But in reality thats al there is. Again good game but nothing special like I wanted. And the fun part, I never was hiped about this game so can't say I got so excited and expected a huge amount or anything.
Lets see, where is my list of computer shops/parts/companies I well recommend and well not recommend. O here it is. There's dell, move from ok to blows, reason: anti customer oriented
You can try, but Canada sure as hell an't taking the blame on this one.

For a second there I thought it said M$ was going to be working together with suse linux. What it dose, how come it suddenly feels cold here.

Anyway that's my rant, my 2 cent and 2 more
It use to be

Now Its going to more like these

It always nice to see even the school yard bully can evolve
