Wi-fi calling does work great, if you have a phone that supports it and wi-fi.
Not all our phones were wi-fi calling capable until recently, and wi-fi calling was unreliable for text messages until recently as well.. so, free booster..:)
Well, depending on the provider I don't think that they will penalize the users... I have one that I actually got from t-mobile for "free" (i.e. I had to agree to staying with the carrier for 2 years). But it works well to keep some signal for us in our house.
They won't give you one if you don't have at least 1 bar of signal some place in your house, and they won't give you one unless you have a standalone house that you live in (i.e. no apartments).
The device I have is a two piece setup.. I have a receiving antenna that I have to place wherever in the house that I can get the best signal for it (for me, its on top of a cupboard in my kitchen angling out a window past our neighbors 2 story house), and another piece that is somewhere else in the house that does the rebroadcasting of the signal that our cell phones connect to. Normally I don't get any bars anywhere in the house on my cell, but with this running and in the same room with me I get 2-4 bars.. latency is horrid, but it seems to work well to get me on the system.
Ad block can also pattern match within a website. I have had it block legitimate images, served from the same site, just because it matched the right pattern. So they have to be more creative than just "load from local site"
I don't see how the cars taking a shower is relevant... my point stands.. if their FAILURE is bursting into flames, rather than merely receiving water damage... then they don't qualify as a "nice car" in my opinion..
They have a nice dynamic setup you can use that allows your page to collapse down to be easily usable by phone browsers, tablets, etc... It also gives you a good display framework to start from to ensure consistancy of your user interface.. and since the display is css based, you can tweak it how you want.
Yup that was my thought as well, I use DreamHost for my hosting.. (just paid the bill so its on my mind).. not unreasonably priced, they have great tech support and you can do quite a bit with it.
Prolly the same thing that was set up when my daughter got a laptop in high school. If you don't pay a small fee ($50 in our case) for insurance at the beginning of the year, the parents were liable for the replacement cost of the item.
And in some areas shooting to wound and not to "stop the threat" can put you at risk of being arrested... you aren't supposed to use your lethal force for "malicious wounding" (as I have heard it referred to by an instructor), but just to stop the threat of imminent bodily harm or death to you or another (and that "another" is a sticky situation too unless you know all the particulars)
Also some cops use tickets as easy overtime pay. They know that if they go to court it is typically out of their normal work shift and they will get paid OT for it. So in many cases where people think there is a quota, I think some of that is what is really happening.
In Phoenix (at least a few years ago) cops who hadnt been on the force for a while were not allowed to moonlight doing the security work in uniform, so this was their only real way to get extra cash for that period.
LiveGamer is responsible for it, they maintain it, they own it, they operate it. Any suit for lack of functionality on it should go vs them first, and SOE as an add on.
But, when does "the right way" have anything to do with lawyers:)
High end color laser printers do have the pattern on them, I am not so sure low end printers do.. but there is always printing it out, and taking it down to corner store with a cheap copymachine and making low resolution copies that way.
Yup, everytime my daughter breaks her cheapo phone that we have on t-mobile, I go buy another pre-pay t-mobile phone for $25 (or so) and swap in the SIM card.. works great.
oh it doesnt surprise me that ya pay cash.. part of why I went on a bit in my reply was for others to read...
I actually have us on a cash budget for all store purchases.. if its not in cash we dont buy it... gas yes, cards.. same with some bills
but we hit our snags on overspending on small stuff at the store... when we hit $1300 in nickle and dime crap at the store one month... none of it for groceries.. I realised that the spender had to be reined in..:)
If debit or credit card.... they have already associated a name and card with that account.
I used to have a shopper card that wasnt tied to -any- name..:) used it til it wore out...
I have also used one that had the barcode of one Rob Cockerham from cockeyed.com would send out.. so hundreds of people around the country were using it.
an alternative is to pay cash, or get a disposable credit card..:)
Amazon tends to come down on you for doing this if its too egregious. You get a nastygram telling you to fix it or the book will be pulled.

I have two apps accounts, and manage 4 more.. and didn't receive an email about this.. I suspect notification was spotty... :)
You just need to get into the habit of wearing face paint/camoflage... http://venturebeat.com/2010/07/02/facial-recognition-camouflage/
purely subjective and anecdotaly, i average 2+ per weekday, more per weekend day. my daughter ranges 1 to 3 a day, my son the same.
i can see 34 per subscriber easily.

I'd have to say their apparent tendency to burst into flames when they get wet would kinda move them from the "nice car" category...
Do you check all atms, gas pumps, etc that you use for card skimmers? http://krebsonsecurity.com/all-about-skimmers/ , http://www.thelocal.de/national/20110818-37041.html and http://boston.cbslocal.com/2011/11/17/atm-skimming-device-found-at-eastern-bank-in-taunton/
They are getting pretty good at making realistic ones. And in some cases have gotten them inside gas pumps.
Regardless of what back end language you pick, a good front end helps a lot. I have found the twitter bootstrap package to be very helpful..
You can find it at: http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/

yeah I got this yesterday... co-worker goes "what did you do to make that box of icons show up?" as I was alt-tabbing... /sigh

The hosting company I use supports Joomla, Drupal, Concrete5 and GetSimple as one click installs..
If you want to start with a framework and add your own CMS on top of that I am liking CodeIgniter.
Yes, http://qik.com/ Qik supports android and iPhone.. it worked well on my 3g and works fine on my android.

SOE doesnt even run their online auction site, its run by a company called LiveGamer, its been that way for quite some time.
Not sure if anyone can really classify Velveeta as "cheese" though...
