Well, the answer to my own question is that she really didn't speak much at all since she's only three years old, and it seems unreasonable to place the child's entire hopes and dreams of communication in one app on a device that changes every year (not to mention apps coming and going daily). If I built my entire world around AIM then I would be crushed when everyone moved elsewhere if I didn't move with them. A more tried and true solution seems a bit more reasonable when you are talking about her future in communication. I hope they can research and arrive at a solution that will not be outdated tomorrow... That's the heart of my comment. It reminds me so much of everyone jumping on the bandwagon to convert all their music collection to the next greatest thing. There's a fine line between latest and greatest, and that which is here today and gone tomorrow. I think they gambled wrong. My original question was not very well communicated. Thanks.
So she cannot speak without it, yet it begs to ask: "How did you speak before your iphone?" iphones haven't been around forever... what would you have done if it never existed... what did you do?
If they are doing their job and following all the rules then it won't bother them that the people are recording the video. It could lead to a raise if their performance is excellent. Or if you are breaking the law as an officer then you should lose your job. I don't trust anyone anymore. I was thinking about something like this... people need to record every TSA worker as they try to violate our rights and our virginity when they x-ray rape us.
And while we're at it, why stop with just data... sure it's tough to see it, but it can be measured so it can be taxed. Let's tax the air that we breathe too... I mean, that guy who lives next to me weighs about 350 pounds, I know he's using more air than the average person does... so he should pay.
My co-worker is a genius, able to answer about any question technologically speaking. I am a talker and have been friends with him for ages. He's a way better programmer than me. I like people a lot and was a teacher for a couple of years and between the two of us during our weekly meetings, demonstrating what has been accomplished we both come out making our company look good. It's easy for me to explain stuff in normal people terms and if there is a super technical question he steps in and it goes well.
It works very well for us, but our approach is primarily internally focused; that is, I am not selling but demonstrating for the non-programmers that work with us.
I have a feeling that I could be a salesperson in the future, but only because my friend, and boss, has made me a better programmer. He's been working on me for years.
I wonder who will ultimately pay them more, the users or the RIAA/MAFIA? Usually companies go the way of the money... We'll see how long it lasts. On another note, Iran does similar things on the internet, only if you get caught you get killed.
Apparently we now own part of Amazon. I expect we will get to have a say in how they run their business. I have a co-worker who recently went to the polls and voted for everyone that was NOT in office. I think California should do the same. If you're going to tax, tax. Don't make us wish we didn't even have government.
Now we can make our government raise taxes even more to pay someone else who doesn't want to work.
I think we should all paddle a bit harder to ride this one.
Thank God they didn't go for a name like Lackadaisical Lemur, as those would have very accurately described my sentiments of 11.04. It upgraded without a hitch... but what demons may be lurking below have yet to be discovered! No, but seriously, it does seem to work and for that I'm grateful.
You better watch out, you better not shout, you better not blog I'm tellin' you why... The NCBDN is shuttin' you down?
I cannot believe that courts even have time to listen to this nonsense. He can talk about whatever he wants to talk about... and if he cannot then America is no longer a good place to live.
Choosing between two groups that may not have my best interests in mind... The MPAA never did, but google doesn't want to destroy the internet. In the future I cannot say this will be true, but for now I would stop at nothing to stop the MPAA. Bastards.
Well spoken! I'm a big fan of Korean films after living there, but I prefer anything foreign or quirky to mainstream. There are exceptions but it's nice to download without worrying about being watched. It's also nice to watch something different. Sometimes you can get two birds with one stone--all while saving a buck.
Sure they can afford to lose, but why don't they just try to win to begin with? If you do enough research it's easier to get people on board and find out if it will be a good idea. Hire the Chic-fil-a marketing team, they'll make it happen.
Do something different. If you know it will flop because it's an experiment then treat it like one and don't charge for it. Try to get people to give meaningful feedback about why it sucks instead of: "This is the worst OS ever, period."
Do these offenders have computer access to be able to complete this mandatory requirement? I suppose it is more likely that one might have a computer as opposed to a vehicle. Still, it is not universal.
I think they need to invent parents who give a crap and then education will matter. Sorry, kids, mommy and daddy don't care about you, so why does it matter how well you do in school?
Education has enough problems already, but a great many of them are social.
Either we are nicer than we think or maybe we think we are terrible. It shows me we have a poor self image. Those psychologists should try to answer why we feel like that. Maybe it's because we all really wanted to be held by our mothers a little longer?
Middle school children can come up with business strategies more sound than this. But they should at least get some sort of meaningless award for their efforts.
Jesus said that he spoke in parables on purpose so that many Jewish law experts would 'hear and not understand'. I cannot say why this was done, but it seems that all the experts completely misunderstood him while all the normal people understood him very well (well, his disciples needed a bit of clarification, but this is neither here nor there).
It is honestly a bit of a paradox, but Jesus was full of paradoxes. Paradoxes don't make you a liar or anything bad, they just make you very very clever. It is difficult to be paradoxical when you don't understand issues fully.
All the important parts of what his son said are pretty clear. He did spend a lot of time berating the Pharisees because they claimed to love God but loved themselves more, but in the end the message was of love. That's what I got out of it anyway.
I don't find it particularly difficult to understand. A camel doesn't fit well through a needle's eye, so he means it is difficult, and I daresay impossible for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. We could argue that it means rope or something else all day long, but taking what was said all over the Bible we know that it is a common theme that the rich prefer worldly wealth to eternal riches.
I don't believe he was even trying to say that rich people are evil. He just wanted people to know that being rich inhibits people from going to heaven because they prefer what they have to what they are promised (which they cannot see).
Shakespeare was written in English but people cannot understand it. I write in English now and some people will not understand me. Just because it is not in use does not imply that it cannot be understood any more than its being spoken implies that it is understood. They are all meant to help us understand a simple concept and if they imagery doesn't help, but rather distracts, then by reading the rest of the story we do not really need the imagery. It is pretty evident what was intended.
I was kind of hoping that the existence of the RIAA would be a one time thing and that it had a terminal illness by now... When will it die? Euthanasia anyone?

Education is going to be a dirty word in the future if they are not careful. Idiots.
I wonder if we should jail those who think about visiting said sites? That would be a crime too, if I'm not mistaken.

"Google has just won first place in a wet t-shirt contest" was all I read. I don't think that was even written anywhere.

Less expensive than a recall; either a brilliant idea or a possibility to screw things up. Enabling users is generally a good thing in my opinion.
