    You're an ass.

    No one is suggesting that you spend hours a day working on Mozilla. What IS being suggested that, when you try to run it, and it breaks, don't just quit and run away. Tell the talkback thing to 'send' instead of just dumping it all.

    Everyone ELSE should throw their own time and effort into Linux/Mozilla/whatever, but you should be paid because you're SOOOOOOOOO valuable.

    Pretty pathetic. Do you sleep? Do you watch sports (or anything else) on TV? Do you read a newspaper? The Economist? Hmmmmm you're not making any damn money there, loser.

    You know, I read this and thought, "What a great comment." Then I noticed the "Funny" mod... I don't think it's funny. Another 30 years or so and I'll be probably wanting some new parts (the knees are already going). And while cybernetic replacements would rock like nothing else, having meat parts would be kinda nice... :)

    All kinds of people will see that as being just as bad, because replacing IIS would force them to use non-MS software, require some training (I'm available!), roll out new/updated servers, etc etc...

    That's kind of a short-sighted view, isn't it? Wouldn't it be better to have this one go to trial, and give the DMCA a chance to get tossed out as unconstitutional? Sure it's bad for the Russian guy, but just as the GPL is unproven, the DMCA has to get into court eventually... why not sooner rather than later?

    Oh..... I see..... you're taking this as an opportunity to take a swipe at a conservative guy taking over the FBI. Okay, makes sense, never mind.

    I'm sure there are numerous people with plenty of $$ who will take up Dmitry's case should it go that far.

    First of all, who gives a rat's ass what the public -believes-?? A few hundred years ago, the (european) public believed (because they were told) that the earth was round.

    It's amazing to me that he's blatantly suggesting that MS and other 'closed' companies should buy some legislation. How much anti-competitive spew can one company spit out?

    It's also funny that he's suggesting that the American Way is to buy some legislation to keep your business practices in place... I always read in school that the American Way was essentially 'may the best man win'.

    Read the subject. I'm pretty confused, actually. From my own experience (which is, to be honest, using graphics programs to augment what I'm really up to), I find Photoshop to be slow and klunky (this with 600 MHz P3 + 256 MB RAM)...

    Otoh, I find GIMP Win32 to be faster, and Paint Shop Pro to be the best of the three. I even like Corel Photopaint better. What am I missing that the Photoshop lovers see?

    This is one of the silliest things I've heard in a while, and a prototypical liberal point of view. This sounds like the Gore campaign: "What? The election rules say X? Well let's change 'em to match what we want!"

    Or outcome-based education: As long as it sounds good to you, your grammar is correct.

    FAR, far better for a browser to say, "This is what HTML should be, if the authors screw it up, it's not our fault." then to try to figure out how to display incorrect HTML.
