I forgot one other important parameter- Q. if the Q of the resonator is low, they will be useless in filter applications. Sometimes oscillators won't even start if the crystal Q is too low.
With most of them, you'd need the Star Trek Universal Translator to make any sense of it. I refuse to correspond with any woman whose profile is longer than the US Constitution.
I have seen some Youtube videos of people on Iceland trips and it looks like a beautiful country. They can send me there any time as an electrical engineer or software architect. What language do they speak? Isn't Iceland Danish territory?
Nvidia drivers have been working perfectly on my Sony VIAO SZ460NC laptop with Vista right from the start. In fact, I even have an Nvidia driver that works on my FreeBSD partition.
When I had Acer laptops with their crappy ATI graphics, OpenGL never worked. I had 3-d modeling programs that only worked in 2 dimensions. It didn't matter what ATI driver you had. You could only spin the objects in the x and y dimensions. Ubuntu's ATI drivers never worked either on the Acer laptops.
Now with Nvidia, I get true 3-d on all the OS's on this laptop.
Sylvania, Emerson, Motorola, Polaroid, Magnavox, Zenith, whatever (and thats not even including a dozen or so ex-US audio companies who's names are still used). The name will be bought by some SE Asian company and everything will be made in China and in a few years no one but old tube radio collectors will care.
Cell phones get warm because they are using energy stored in the battery and only a fraction of it gets radiated as radio frequency energy. There is no such thing as 100% efficiency in any of the components of a cell phone. Where does the rest of the energy go? It is conducted or radiated as heat.
Will these be in the visible or infrared range? Will the laser beams terminate or leak outside the unpackaged chip? I ask because engineers are constantly looking at decapped chips or doing various types of testing under the microscope of live circuitry. I'd hate to get hit by a laser beam through a microscope.
OK, let me put this in a layman's perspective. Why does a mirror invert an image from right to left and vice-versa, but not from top to bottom? Do you see what I am getting at?
make a cable box that sets its own clock, and then sync's the time up with all your other gadgets that need a time set? Now that would almost be worth the Nobel Prize.
Why do you think it is that pi often is needed in calculations? Because someone is using the wrong coordinate system. But pi is not a rational number. It is not the ratio of two integers. Its the same problem with particle physics. Using the same logic, having to find more and more particles to satisfy some mathematical model makes it pretty obvious that you are in the wrong paradism. People will claim that we have proof that this or that particle exists, but what is a particle to begin with? What exactly is an electron or proton? We have no idea YET.
Reimann botnets infiltrating hundreds of thousands of computers to work on the solution. Unfortunately, Comcast finds out and starts throttling their internet bandwidth. Math is set back 100 years.
I downloaded the package from MS at 600kb/s which helps when the file is 450 some Mb. Then I backed up the computer to DVD and made a restore point. Then clicked on the update with Admin Privlleges and went out and did all sorts of stuff. The entire process took 6 hours. But when I got home I noticed that it appeared that that the laptop had locked up. So I did a hard power down and rebooted into Vista. Vista reported a successful Vista install. What I think really happened is that since Grub on my laptop has FreeBSD as the default booting OS, Vista did an automatic reboot when it was done and the computer booted up FreeBSD which after updating to 7.0-stable is having random lockups and crashes.
Bought a whole bunch of Ultraviolet LED's surplus. Don't know what they use them for. I put a bunch of them on a proto board, each with a series resistor, then connected all of those in parallel. It was really bright. Very interesting.
67 billion dollars is a lot of money. Where the hell is it going? Is Uncle Scrooge on the loose filling his money bin? Its hard to imagine that much money just sitting somewhere and never being spent. I mean, that is the purpose of money- to spend.
They have a problem even looking into space as they can't get permission from countries all over the globe to install surveillance cameras pointed at the Space Station. I hear things get pretty wild when the Vodka starts flowing. Who knows what terrorist plots they may be making up there in space.
My brother emailed the link about the attack and asked me what he should do. At first I thought that turning off the computer when its not in use would be a good idea, but then Windows takes a long time to reboot. If you have a cable modem, just unplug the power jack. You could also unplug the ethernet cable from the net, but those connectors tend to break over time. Perhaps some company makes an on/off Internet switch. If not, someone should.

1. What is the temp coefficient for these devices? If it high, they will be essentially useless for communication usage, esp wireless and microwave.
2. If they ever get into mass production, what is the projected cost per unit?
I see these devices possibly used as clocks for computers, but why buy something exotic like this when you can just use a PLL that costs $0.50 ?

for a Business Model Patent as well. A 2 for one deal.
nuf said.

That we would become the new Soviet Union in many ways.
No one ever saw that one coming.

would have auctioned off the spectrum on EBay. I'm not certain though if Pay Pal will accept billion dollar transfers.
Until the RIAA and MPAA start teaming up with the Psyentologists. Then there will be a real mafia.

The FCC is already making plans to auction off the entire spectrum of quantum communications for billions of dollars.
