Increasing the speed limit would likely have the opposite effect, as drivers are unlikely to increase the distance between them and the vehicle ahead of them.
This would just increase the effects of 'slam the brakes' reactions which are a large part of the problem.
Dr. Poup discovers an entire class of particles and devises an intricate color scheme, prompting the immediately overused physicist joke: asking your lab partner, 'Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?'
Sadly, because of those commercials, Grey Poupon recieves nearly all attention, drawing researchers away from the less popular Sea Foam Puopon, a key part of the equation for Cold Fusion, time travel, and world peace.
I agree.. my friend's and I would sit around and play Aerobiz and supersonic through the night years before we ever heard of a LAN party. We've tried to buy a few games that sounded similar, but nothing has ever been even close to as fun.
This is too accurate. According to CNN, 22% of voters stated that "Moral Values" were their primary concern in the election. Of those, 79% voted for Bush.
Since when was George W. Bush the poster child for Moral Values? Did I miss it when John Kerry said that he wanted cut expenses by using babies as speed bumps?
I guess no abortion and no gay marriage is the ticket to being a morally sound individual.
11 of 11 states that had "define mariage" proposals on the ballot passed them, most by a landslide. Maybe I'm naive, but I learned something new about this country last night.
When it comes these championship caliber gamers, is there any particular areas in which these folks excel? Do they have extrordinary IQs? Uber fast reaction times? Xtreme mouse-eye coordination? Do they have better hardware, are they great mentalists, or do they just spend way too much time playing video games?
In the end I'm sure its probably a combination of more than one trait, but I'm curious if any of them are outstanding in other arenas as well. (i.e. can make a Big Mac like nobody's business)
After reading so far down into this post I was glad to finally get to a post with some intelligent comments. Sure there are some out there that didnt like it, dont like Speilberg, dont like the channel, or all three, but after a hundred posts of that I think we get the point without everybody getting their jabs in.
So how does one go about creating 173 db worth of sound? I saw no mention of how they did that. Im guessing that AC/DC isnt chilling in the back anywhere...
In a few years all red leds in new products will be replaced by "cool" blue ones. Red will be the new blue, and you will be cool once again with your crappy old red led.
Even better, just hold on to your old non-optical mouse and everybody will be in envy of your retro-look mouse!
By the time NASA has the funding to send astronauts to Mars, decontaminating them after they return will probably not be a concern. In my opinion, the best shot NASA has of a mars mission anytime in the near future is in fact sending astronauts there on military funding, with the hope that they do bring back some martian bacteria for use in biological warfare "research."
Sure it wouldnt be the "reason" that the mission takes place, but im sure the military would be quite certain that they got whatever they could out of the mission...
Just cause we boo hoo bio warfare, doesnt mean we dont do plenty of research on it...

And then we can all celebrate the day when Daniel walks out of the courtroom, arms raised in the triumphant retention of his anonymity.

Stop saying blogosphere.
Every time I initiate an ubuntu update, my (comcast) connection goes dead and I have to restart my cable modem. Is this somehow related?
If that was the case, anyone who has ever eaten a hot dog would be in the clear
