    And it has to have at least 8 characters, containing at least 1 number and capital letter. Lately my passwords have begun to express my feeling towards these policies, taking the form of things like "P1550ff1T". Now repeat for another 4 systems and expect everyone to memorize those 5 passwords and still knowing them after a 2 week break...

    Still, there's a lot of hate for the cameras in many areas. I've heard that they're going to place second cameras to catch the vandals who're taking out the speed cameras in Ireland. Or was it Scotland? My solution to that - Wear a mask.

    Everybody knows that law enforcement can find you based on a single crappy analog recording of your back by extrapolating the reflection of your shoelaces in the window reflection behind you and tracing it back to a single batch sold at some obscure shop with an easily harassed salesman, don't you watch shows like CSI?

    1 - achieve world peace.
    2 - eliminate starvation.
    3 - get all world governments to agree on more than 20 things and be happy about it.
    4 - get all world governments to cooperated with each other fully.
    5 - find solution to the flying pig epidemic.
    6 - solve problem of the earcths core just froze over.
    7 - build space ark.


    Tbqh I think the more logical progression would be to replace to replace steps 1 through 4 by:
    1 - replace world governments by world government
    2 - pray like hell it's not the US of A.

    What really makes the US fucked up is the number of ignorant, brainwashed americans that blindly believe (not to mention spew up that crap for all to hear) that they live in the greatest country on earth.

    Not to mention that this very sentiment is what causes a lot of non-americans to say: "you know what? since you guys think you're the greatest anyway, just go right on fucking things up, we'll be right here watching".

    Funny, there I was, always thinking that the main aspect which is missing in the movie was the basic idea that only people who served the public (_not_ only in the military, but nurses, sewage workers, the lot, also. He stated himself in Expanded Universe that it was his single largest error to not make that point more clear) should be allowed to serve in public office.. ;)

    Hmm, what I considered even more important was that some sort of public service was required to be eligible to vote. One first had to demonstrate the ability to give of oneself, to give a damn, before being allowed to elect those running for said public office.

    The problem of course, is that if the windows are see-through for maximum sunlight, you have issues with the police/neighbors being able to notice.

    Yup, definitely, and you could even advertise the fact you don't advertise. Develop a product, sell it online, and on your own website you show how you're able to be 10 bucks cheaper than the other guy because you don't waste money bothering people trying to watch a movie.

    It's coming sooner than that. Direct X 10 will be Vista only.

    Which pretty much means any game that requires 10 or higher will have to do without my money. Gotta draw a line somewhere and Vista is where the line will be. Oh well, it'll give me more time to spend on other thing...like maybe learning OpenGL.

    Ditto. As usual and expected though. Slashdot by itself is a religion that wants to preach a certain set of value to others, shaped by the admin who 'filter' and post all the news.

    Yup, it seems the majority believes there's no room for religion in public schools and the government. Fortunately, apparently that belief was shared by enough of the chaps in the past to put it into writing, or to be more specific, to make it law.

    BS again. An Asperger's Syndrome don't get bored at what he does, he just find it completed or not.


    Not sure where you get your wisdom from but I too rather enjoy making fun of myself. The fact that you seem to think people with Asperger's have no sense of humor makes me really doubt your knowledge of the subject. As for getting bored...well, let's just say it's taken me multiple years to finish my current project, with large periods of intermittent boredom.
