EVE-Online has had some issues with dual-processor (or is it just dual-core?) machines since Revelations came out last month. They've rolled out a patch this past week that was supposed to fix it, but I've been so busy with RL stuff (training a long skill meanwhile, Heavy Missile V) that I haven't tried it since the patch.
Which was really a klingon-ized ripoff of the TOS episode "The Enemy Within", where Kirk gets in a transporter accident and is split between his "good" and "bad" halves.
According to your informative post below, we've only got connects 200 atoms wide, not "a few" as the GP was asserting. The point still stands, the atoms are not *that* constrained.
Keep in mind, though that 1 atom wide for Si is 111pm (that's 0.111nm for those who dont know their units), so we're talking about ~400 atoms wide at 45nm.
We've still got a little breathing room. I'm still waiting for Carbon Nanotubes to replace the Si interconnects.
Set up your weather equipment's reading program to put the data into a database. On your website's server, set up a script to query the database for the relevant data for that day.
Now, was that so hard? Or are you asking about what meteorological hardware & software is out there on the market for amateur weather people?
Poster A complains about an absurdly simple (round peg into round hole dongle for square hole device) "hack" that isn't even useful or particularly interesting of a topic (since it's been done many times), over an article about a scientific matter involving clouds. Specifically, how do they get to be that shape, considering they don't fit your typical model for cloud appearance? I'm an armchair meteorologist here, so actual explanations are welcome.
Poster B says "d00d, clouds sux. this article sux 2, but j00 have no right to complain."
I know you're more literate than that, it's the quality of the reply I'm making fun of here. And that's what the parent labeled as anti-intellectualism. The article the GP is pointing out isn't just a "ooh! look at the clouds!" (ok, so it is, but I digress) There actually IS some interesting scientific dialogue that could come of it. This article? "Been there done that." all over the place.
TFA is a re-hash of the original story (I don't have the time/motivation to search Google for the original), which means SOMEONE TOOK IT SERIOUSLY. Perhaps if you weren't so busy being a pathetic little name-calling anonymous (ie: no balls) flamebaiting troll, you'd notice that.
That's a good point. I usually just assume it's some religious group decrying 'improper' entertainment, but you are right that a far-left would be just as opposed.
It takes a brain to realize what the previous troll was trying to say (and assuming I wouldn't agree with him): The problem with the parents, not the games.
I was commenting on the media reaction though, not the kids' decision to blame it on the videogame. Kids say all kinds of stupid things for sometimes no reason, but the media journalists need to be responsible enough to not publish whatever crap some brat spews out.
Ok, so graffiti didn't exist before GTA came out? If it didn't or it wasn't a problem, then they might have a case.
Graffiti has been a problem for decades. To blame it on a game is as ignorant as it is outrageous. I remember when some kid shot up his school and the media was all set to blame that on video games. The problem isn't the games, it's that the world that the games are based on (real-world) sucks.
Murder happens. Vandalism happens. Playing a game that incorporates this and then going out and doing this stuff doesn't make you any less of a murderer or vandal. These kids will most likely get sentenced as is proper in PA law.
The GTA angle is just a sad attempt to push a political agenda (far-right tightwads). I'm tired of conservatives thinking they have the right to tell me and whoever else what I should be able to buy. If they had their way, there wouldn't be any games with a hint of violence.
Where would that leave us? I dunno, puzzle/board/card games, I guess. Tetris and Solitaire.
Well, see, the problem with that is that Flash Memory is great for reads, but writes tend to wear out the chip. Writes require a higher voltage to perform (1.5V compared to 0.2V, I think. That may be wrong, use google) and so use as a replacement HD tends to shorten the lifespan of the device to a few months.
Using a flash memory device as a storeage place for things unlikely to change frequently (bootable linux for troubleshooting, encryption keys, etc) doesn't do much for the wear-and-tear of the memory, though.
Parent is talking about MARS not the MOON. On MARS there is an atmosphere. That's why the probes to it need heat shields. That's what that Carbon Dioxide stuff is. It's an atmosphere.
Where he already said this. I guess this is the guy that Dubya got the time estimate from. Since they are in agreement, we can only conclude that this is just NASA getting behind their current president because they figure he's more likely to get them more funding than the alternative.
Why not have give the offense players a "fatigue" setting that fatigues the entire offense when they repeatedly shift. That would even the stakes, right?
He was also the telepathic first officer (forgot the character's name) on the Babylon 5 spinoff "Crusade".
>We require more overlords.
No, no, no...
It's "SPAWN MORE OVERLORDS".
Maybe you're confusing it with "WE REQUIRE MORE VESPENE GAS" or "WE REQUIRE MORE MINERALS" ?

Just don't forget: -i is also i^3. I hope that doesn't hurt your visualization too much.

DIV!! I was saying DIV!!
You have heard of the tag, havent you? Read up on them. With it, that challenge is quite easy.
Lost Vikings was Interplay! Blizzard just ported that game to the SNES, they didn't make it at all.

Let's look at the situation:

A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon is in the umbra or penumbra ("shadow" for you laypeople) of the EARTH.
A SOLAR eclipse occurs when the moon gets between the earth and the sun.
Solar eclipses are more common (once every 2 years, offhand), than lunar eclipses (once every 4 years).
That was the sound of the Rodney Dangerfield reference + joke flying over your head!
Fine.
/.?
Answer me this:
WHY did this make NEWS?
WHY was it on the front page of

Yeah.
Right...

Oh, right. I was thinking of the PC genre. I forgot about consoles.
Umm... We're talking about the people who wrote the game, right? They wrote the game, and they never thought they'd have to patch it?
What is wrong with this picture?
