    from what i can see this would be better served by defining "Fair Trade" and %Origin% Coffee not by any sort of Branding thing

    If you define "Fair Trade" as A B C D E F must be true then anybody claiming "Fair Trade" with out all of those being true is violating standards.

    If you claim that your coffee beans are from %Origin% and they were sourced from a location outside the borders of %Origin% then you are violating standards.

    So if you claim your coffee was grown on Monastery under Fair Trade rules then i would expect the raw beans to have skin cells from the Monks (hopefully just skin cells and not bits of Cross).

    for those services that allow you to download a time locked copy to view offline you could allow folks to pay a certain amount of money for %timeblock%.

    you could have different types of blocks for sale

    1 cheap/free: you get throttled down to 256K speeds
    2 economy: 1M speeds
    3 Gold: 2M speeds
    4 Platinum: Unthrottled

    Of course you would want to have good logs and say thumbprints of each account holder (legal reasons)

    If yo9u sue a function that is labeled as %toolkit%-function then it flags a possible difference between that and the "normal" function

    besides MS at one point had a whole RUNTIME of special extensions (active X) and required folks to use at least 3 of them on every page if you wanted to be a Microsoft "Partner" which as an OEM meant you didn't have to wait until example Windows 95 was in stores to be able to get the code and stuff for drivers.

    the problem is that SOPA is a Nuclear Option for IP things.

    even if you are not in the US you can still be on the hook for violating it if

    1 your internet presence has a edu /net / com extension

    2 some US company decides that you violated Their IP

    3 any of your business is in the US

    4 Your country has treaties that require it to match the US regs

    5 Your country has %resource% and the US decides that it needs to be Liberated (with the "corrections" to IP laws of course being part of that)

    in fact it shows up as a alert on the fed ex dudes pad thing when they pull up that stop. if they just dump and run they can be liable for anything that happens to that package (especially since ASR is a subset of Signature Required).

    err FEDERAL LAW requires
    1 an absolute minimum wage for tipped employees
    2 if tips are not enough to make the difference between the absolute minimum and the federal minimum then the employer must make up the difference
    3 various bits on the extent of tip "pooling" (this prevents your top employees from funding the wages of the bottom ones)

    any employer that is not keeping good track of tips is
    1 an idiot
    2 violating federal law

    Invalid for this

    1 it was coolant that was leaked AND CONTAINED WITHIN THE SHIPYARD
    2 no long lived radioactive materials leaked
    3 the cause was somebody got stupid and opened the wrong valve

    im sure that there are reports that are classified with more examples but nothing on the scale of Fukushima.

    oh and a ship being sunk that happens to be nuclear does not count unless the reactor actually went full meltdown

    and a counter to that is the US Navy Nuclear program which has not had ANY accidents in its history
    (not counting losing material/ ships getting sunk/ deliberate sabotage).

    Fukushima was more or less EOL right??? (and the designers drank to much saki when setting the tolerances)

    small prop planes mean exactly JACK when you are dealing with Jets (and even lear jets mean JACK when you are dealing in the 7XX type of planes)

    personally i think that the TLAs should see about accessing ANY PUBLIC SOURCE of data they can get hands on.

    1 get very very concerned with Bobs health (what happens if you get run over by a bus??)

    2 start sorting out the docs and building a tagging system (hint even if this is going To The Cloud you want a system you can kick for RIGHT NOW) for docs that are of historic value (or hysteric value) make sure you have an OBSOLETE/ARCHIVED tag.

    3 start porting docs over to the "new" system as you can BUT LEAVE COPIES IN PLACE (bonus points if the new system uses the old systems datastore safely)

    4 hope that when Bob Corks Off you have everything ready

    BOFH Step (if you are sure you are ready)

    5 arrange for a bus to run Bob over (or something similar)

    easy the person checking ids has a stack of forms with sheets of stickers (these have name and address info) as each person comes in you state your name and then the person finds YOUR sticker slaps that on the form (tosses that on the stack of used/signed forms) then sends you to the table where the person handing out the ballots gives you yours. No Sticker = Not Registered = No Vote

    of course at least in the early days it would be a good idea for some sort of signal that the car is in "disabled driver" mode just so that the police can deal with it correctly (by maybe pinging the car and activating some sort of "Follow Me" mode??)
