if the plant is small enough for a platoon of Former Military folks (which i think we have a bunch of right now) to guard properly the security should not be a problem as such (hint if everything is within "shooting distance" of like 4-6 guys then its the right size)
"I'm sorry if you will be fired because you can't respond to your boss's emails or calls"
and im sure the Labor board would love to hear about somebody getting canned over Jury Duty since i think that is one of the things IT IS A FELONY TO FIRE OVER.
Dropping sodium into water (or anything water based) at room temp causes an "energetic" reaction. Boiling Water would most likely be worse LOTS WORSE (like Halon Dump worse).
This is definitely Kids Do Not Try This AT Home territory.
You may also want to see if you can cause/let a recoverable failure to happen (maybe in the department with the manager that is giving you the least buyin??) and then leverage that to get more buyin.
Your order of business should be
What will be/ reveal felonies in the exec suite if not fixed. What will be an E-Ticket directly to Chapter 7 What will be trouble end of quarter What will be trouble end of year What will be trouble NEXT YEAR.
Of course pulling a BOFH and using a debounced hammer on some of the kit may also help if its planned right.
the problem is folks now blaming the original software writer for 1 mucking about with browser settings 2 installing adware 3 installing who knows what else??
How would you like it if you wrote a program (lets say its a conversion calculator) and then hosted your downloads on download.com and THEY WITHOUT TELLING YOU decided to bundle Diapered Dolls Slideshow 2012 (4-7 edition) and then made that the default screensaver (and locked the settings)???
Due to FEDERAL LAW communications from school staff to students (and the reverse) must go to University Email accounts. plus if somebody "does not get" a given email then its the schools fault.
at this point your only out is to maybe find a LEO buddy that can cover you just in case SomeBody does hack the place and they decide to come after you. They may not care about you now but when things go to that little town in georgia (and dig from there) you will need some sort of GOOJF card. This is the time to DOD erase any evidence of what was done that you can get to (your computer(s)).
and what happens if the script is marked FILL AS PRESCRIBED NO SUBS??
given that a doctor may have some medical reason for that particular pill (something in the fillers maybe??) and the fact that the pharmacist is NOT A DOCTOR why does this even come up??
"they can't attach a zero day SSH exploit if the only hole is port 80 to Apache.
What about the edge cases where you're running something other than a vanilla web server?"
then its "they can't attach a zero day SSH exploit if the only hole is port(s) N-Z to %service%."
the point is if the only ports open are bound to an active service (and you have stripped the list down to what is absolutely needed) then its a lot harder to attack that system (bonus points if those services are not on default ports)
its because of IP concerns since to setup the merger an English Long {redacted}Ton of passwords protocols and "stuff" had to be handed over to AT&T. The funds and such are paying for all of that or they could have
1 Propose a Merger 2 Get all the company secrets 3 Fail the merger 4 PROFIT!! 5 crater the victim company
the problem is whenever matter and matching antimatter come in contact we get to see what E=MC^2 means (Very Large Bang for the TL;DR crowd). So an Anti-Star would most likely convert to a Black Hole before it could be seen.
THEY CAN NOT PREVENT THE GPL VERSION FROM BEING USED AND UPDATED
so if somebody else with a copy of the code decides to continue the work then they can not say anything. if a company decides to make a GPL project closed source then they have to have permission from Every Single Contributor (assuming that they are all still available) this is one of the reasons that the Linux Kernel is still GPL 2 since chunks of the code are set with GPL 2 (no later version) licenses.
besides in The Courts groping a Man is not a crime (possibly rude but never a crime)
[/snark]
I predict that someday a group of criminals will forge TSA credentials and take hostages in some train station (inventing all sorts of "New Regulations" in the process). Heck all you would have to do is have hidden cameras and a few boxes to "confiscate" things and you could make a nice profit.
Given the "realm" of SecondLife if i "owned" a set of 9 regions (and various buildings and items on said island) WITHIN THE SL GRID CONTEXT i own everything on those regions (unless they are owned by someone else) and can eject anything and anyone that is on those regions without my permission. Now if i find out that somebody is running some sort of scam on my regions (or making/selling porn) then i AM REQUIRED BY REAL WORLD LAW to eject that person.
Most of the time the Real World Authorities DO NOT CARE what happens in "virtual space" but if a nontrivial amount of money gets involved then they start taking notice.
if somebody "steals" a SecondLife lamborgini then they are not liable for GTA but if somebody is using said lambs in a Money Laundering Scheme then LL can and will get very friendly with the SS or the FBI or any TLA that wants to/ has jurisdiction make things very very unpleasant.
Heck if i was part of any of the TLAs i would have a region or 2 as an outpost just for those times.
Oh and a lot of the SL TOS/Community Standards cover exactly how SL/RL law intersects.
(of course if i had any serious virtual property i would make it using an OpenSim SandBox and then use Phoenix to Import to the SL grid)
cutting things that close will be safe when and only when Gas Stations have some sort of "one gallon gas tank" that can be used on an EV (maybe a 500watt/hour powerpack??)
1 a Shopping Center is PRIVATE PROPERTY with public access 2 the different storefronts are considered Copyright/Trade dress by each store 3 the various AntiTerror laws come into play because Shopping centers are a "target of Interest"
It quite frankly would be "legal" for the security guy to stomp the guys phone into gravel and have him thrown bodily from the premises (but NOT NORMALLY DONE).

i would like to see somebody recover ANYTHING from a drive that has been turned into a twisted molten blob

"It is really hard on bearings and even worse on lungs."
of course the fact that the moon more or less has no atmosphere is a real killer.
it may be solved more or less by having a "muck room" in the airlocks and sealing what parts can be sealed.
but what does the kama sutra have to do with the subject at hand??
seriously could you point out which section of the Mutt Manual covers the request??
the hook on this is

but "On The Internet" means it can't be domestic (quick name the senators and representatives from "The Internet").
as Slashdot is a US based site you will find that things are done using the US conventions
oh btw if you are all that smart then you have access to a convertor to metric units (or can do it in your head ) hint 1 mile = 1.609344 kilometers
yeah for a retail store eye level is where the Branding Stripe(R) goes (or the POP signage for your current promo)
depending on your store you may also want a BS at Knee level to catch ADA folks or your younger customers

i think this is big enough to get a couple hundred lawyers "interested" on whether this would be considered a "material change" in the contract.
its the "suckers" that are in the six to twenty-two month window that are going to get this in the teeth.
you don't need to remove something that was never on the phone in the first place.
Spying on YOUR NTH BOSS is a very severe Career Limiting Move and Annoying "Him" is just as bad
cutting things that close will be safe when and only when Gas Stations have some sort of "one gallon gas tank" that can be used on an EV (maybe a 500watt/hour powerpack??)
the first is not bothering to sort out a decent subset of Unicode that is "safe" to use (there are control characters and other nasties in unicode).
the second is simply lack of space in 255 characters when you have to get drawing characters also
