Well in the US the way the laws goes is there is an absolute minimum rate and if tips to not make the difference between that and the stated minimum wage the employer must make up the difference quoting from the regs

"The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires payment of at least the federal minimum wage to covered, nonexempt employees. An employer of a tipped employee is only required to pay $2.13 an hour in direct wages if that amount plus the tips received equals at least the federal minimum wage, the employee retains all tips and the employee customarily and regularly receives more than $30 a month in tips. If an employee's tips combined with the employer's direct wages of at least $2.13 an hour do not equal the federal minimum hourly wage, the employer must make up the difference. "

Oh and it is custom to tip at least US$ 0.25 to show that the tip was not forgotten (but should only be done if the service was so bad you would be sueing the manager if it was worse (meal late/wrong drinks not refilled as needed server was drunk/stoned napkins not provided and my favorite HAD TO ASK MORE THAN ONCE FOR THE BILL)

the big problem is the matter of AIR
all it would take is for the Navi to breach every compartment in the base to atmosphere and the base becomes useless to any human (not currently inside a sealed ship/mech ect). Then "just for fun" have the huge crawler critters shred the landing field and that base is DONE for humans.

Don't forget that basically the ENTIRE FRACKING PLANET got in on the war so they would have to fight like everything just to rebuild the base far enough to allow landings (of enough force to not get trampled in the first 20 minutes).

If it was up to me the return to Pandora would begin by finding which polar region has the smallest amount of life and then setting up a base there (im assuming that the floaty rocks are all over).

  18. Re:The danger of too many password requirements on 75% Use Same Password For Social Media & Email · · Score: 1

the real joke is that this results in a smaller password "space" than could be possible
since without the stack of rules you have 12((26*2)+10 +10) possible passwords but you then lose

No repeats (which removes a swath of passwords)
2 upper case letters (which drops possible passwords by 36*2)
    2 Lowercase letters (same deal)
2 symbols (which drops possible passwords by 10*2)
    2 numbers (same deal)

say 20% possible passwords drop due to being dictionary words in some language
and i bet these passwords get changed like every week and are disallowed to repeat system wide

so in a good sized company will deplete the password space in say a year or so
