I think this article helps us understand the path that our nation has walked down and the consequences of its destination. I see a bleak future as the gap between the rich and poor expand and the rich elite become less likely to grow America and more interested in growing their assets internationally by whatever means to achieve their profits.
Ultimately we will face a day when another nation has far exceeding power in weaponry because of their advances over us in physics, chemistry or nanotech/engineering. Then they will be in position to enforce their will upon us like we do to other nations today.

Sony doesn't have to cut the price of the PS3 Because--- THE PS2 is targeted at a price point and audience that is still outselling the xbox 360, ps3 and wii.
The xbox and gamecube are pretty much dead but the ps2 is going on strong. A price cut in the ps2 this xmas would have a lot of influence. If you are dirt poor and shop at walmart the ps2 is going to be a gemstone with its huge library and quality of games.

The process needs to be headed up by the head of development.
The head of development needs to tell the IT folks what to deploy and when.
The IT folks just do the move, they head up the systems and networks so they need to send out notices on unavailability. Once IT is done with the move they report back to the head of development.
Then the head of development asks a few key users to make sure the system is working.
After that the key users tell the rest of the users that the system is ready for prime time.
I would like to tell all the students out there who love computer science to pursue it, enjoy it, get a job from it, and have successful careers in it.
I would also like to tell all the students out there, that those who don't love computer science and only want the job to get money, to stay away from it, because it is those people who wreak havoc in our field. Because:
1. They are likely to have more interpersonal skills and can schmooze management into getting promotions. 2. They are more likely to cause problems once they get into management because they truly don't respect our field.

so if you have a relative who died who lived overseas and get a call and then have to tell your other family membersin the domestic u.s. about the bad news, i guess you're a terrorist!
i downloaded and played the demo, it is definately a fun game. i really love commanding columns of troop brigades and marching them into enemy flanks, and rushing them with the CHARGE! command.
if u can't afford to buy any of the next generation consoles, all the previous generation consoles and their games will be dirty cheap. the gamecube should drop to 70bux the ps2 maybe down to 99 when the ps3 comes out, i dunno about the old xbox though, since that might just go away completely.
so for poor folks you can have alot of good fun with all the A+ games from the old ps2 and gamecube.

ps3 will play your bluray movies and run linux and play ps3,ps2, and psone video games! all way under the price of a standalone bluray movie player.

I beat it in 2 days. I'm sure hardcore gamers probably beat it in less than 1 day.

I would have liked to see a game that at least met the scale of the world of super mario world, which was what more than 10 years ago?
I feel kinda jipped by how short the game is. It is fun and nice to see classic platforming mario, but there is just not enough.
