Or crack down on operating systems that have services exposed to the Internet when they don't need to be.
I have two machines on the 'net without firewalls. One running Debian and one running OSX. Neither of these systems has stuff like an RPC daemon listenin on the public network interface. That would just be dumb.
Why haven't MS figured out they can put stuff like that on the loopback interface?
I didn't reply because i thought he was being sarcastic.
Bearing in mind I've not looked at Latin for a while, didn't do it at school, and i've just got back from the pub, I'd say the original post was, word for word, "which" "do you think" "swallow" "is" "fastest" [something] "African" "or" "european" ?

IPaqs and Zauruses running Linux use a framebuffer instead of an X Windowing system. Applications don't tend to run in a window - they usually run full-screen, so having X on the device would be overkill....and there's no such thing as "Zaurii".
These are the people who should be using a Mac. The Mac didn't have the latest patches, and contrary to Microsoft's "the tests prove that any operating system is vulnerable when not patched" statement, it wasn't vulnerable to any of the attacks it received.
One of the main technical differences between XP and OSX is that OSX has no services running that listen on ethernet or modem ports by default. Compare to XP which has RPC etc, which we call know is not a good thing to expose to the Internet.
Obvoisuly, you could run a firewall, but that's just hiding the problem. The proper solution would be to have an OS that doesn't have things like RPC accepting connections from just anywhere. If you must have RPC, why not have it on a loopback interface only?
For those of us in the US who may not have seen this yet, when someone in the UK types "www.google.com", they are redirected to "www.google.co.uk". I imaging the same happens in Germany s/uk/de/.
Criticizing other people's spelling doesn't do much to make you any more credible.
You're right, it doesn't. it doesn't make you any more or less credible. Using correct spelling and grammar makes you at least appear to be more credible.
Install mplayer (with some nice frontend like kmplayer) or maybe even VLC, and there will be no problems with the WMV videos. In fact it'll be able to play videos that the real Windows Media Player would have to get separate codecs installed to play.

That's a 24-hour format time.

So where does Perl fit in?
I back that idea. It's fraud IMHO.
So they're attempting to do what SCO hasn't been overly successful with?
Without touching the latin dictionary, that's a Python quote, isn't it?
Wrong way round. Paragraphs are in pages.
Pop-ups, spyware, viruses, activeX, tight OS integration, lack of support for web standards, the netcraft and google toolbars.
But Safari has the most important bit of Google nicely integrated, so we don't mind so much that it doesn't have the roolbar.
What is the difference between Abort and Fail?
+1 funny. Gotta love the witty responses :-)

Neither of these actually work in Firefox.
They could try suing God.
A metric ton, when written without the word "metric" in front of it, is spelled "tonne".
tonne
n : a unit of weight equivalent to 1000 kilograms [syn: metric ton, MT, {t}]
kiloton
:-)
I suppose you measure distances in kiloyards as well. What a strange mixture of imperial and metric measurement you have there!

I work for Adobe, you insensitive clod!
It runs on OSX. Microsoft even suggest running it on OSX. I doubt very much they tell you not to run it on anything other than an MS Operating System.

You do know that GRip is already a media ripper, don't you?
