    I absolutely disagree with what this memo said (I've read it in it's entirety) but I think he has that right to say it. That said, he has there right to distribute it on his own time, with his own resources; not internally. Google has every right, and the moral high ground, to get rid of him for it. It's not applicable to his job and really has no place in the workplace.

    Just another snowflake that can't take the heat.

    Safari in the next version of macOS will block all autoplay videos unless you whitelist the site. I tested the beta and it seems to work well; CNN being the biggest offender.

  11. I've worked in four states and have always had that option when asking for a background check. I work in high-security areas, so all my jobs have done a check (all states I've lived in and federal). I've always received a copy.

    My, fairly large, family has about a 50/50 mix of men or women higher earners and it doesn't seem to matter. My grandmother always made significantly more than my grandfather and they did fine. At present, my SO makes more than me and neither of us care.

    If you have a legitimate need to spoof a number (multiple business lines, etc.), you can get a waiver with a documented reason why. All others, nope.

    Can't speak for other states, but Indiana has a property tax cap set as amendment in the state constitution. It passed around 2010 or so.

    "Property tax rates in Indiana are capped a maximum of 1% of value for residential, 2% of value for rental and farmland, and 3% of value for all other types (the actual rates may be higher, but the maximum paid after deductions is capped through a "circuit breaker" tax credit)."

    There are alternatives. Mylan has a patent on that particular design of auto-injector. There are other auto-injectors and the active ingredient (epinephrine) has been off patent for years.

    The police and the court. The parents can submit/explain what they believe is evidence and then if the authorities agree, they can present Facebook with the proper warrants to examine the account. The parents don't just get to go on a fishing expedition because they have a hunch that her death happened because this or that.

    Can the Garmin summon an Uber with a press?
    The Garmin can track fitness data but only easily for Garmin stuff, whereas the Apple Watch has quite a lot of fitness apps that are well integrated with it...

    My garmin Vivoactive can call an Uber, if installed the Uber app on it.

    My fitness data syncs with Garmin, Strava, Fitbit (for work points), Apple Health and dropbox.

  25. The 360.2, perhaps. A smartwatch without GPS is all but useless if you want to use it as a fitness device.

    I'm happy with my Garmin Vivoactive. I can get notifications, track my daily run and steps. It works fin with the iPhone and best of all, it didn't cost $300.
