Ho-hum, just in time for the Christmas buying rush too...nice coincidence.

  2. For Pete's sake on Security Affecting Microsoft's Bottom Line · · Score: 0, Redundant

Why're we taking this at all seriously?

M$oft says something to paint themselves in a good light, we slam it with, 'they must be lying, it's a bunch of FUD, they're just hiding the truth....etc'

M$oft says something bad, which casts them in a bit of a bad light, we immediately take it as gospel.

Fact: The average consumer is more aware of problems with M$oft security due to the prevalence of that information itself. (iNet, popular news media, print, etc).

Fact: The average consumer is more aware of alternatives to M$oft products, IE, Linux, MacOS, *shudder* Lindows...

Fact: The average consumer never bothers to install ANYTHING other than the OS that came preinstalled on their CompUSA/CC/BB/Wal-Mart PC.

Truthfully? I fail to see how this is costing them anything at all when you get right down to it. They've STILL got the market sewn up on preinstalled systems, the average consumer STILL thinks it's the easiest OS to use, and Symantec has those consumers who ARE a bit worried and aware of the dangers convinced that by running Norton Craptilities they can circumvent those dangers.

    Crapcrapcrapcrap.

    More crap.

For your info dude, (and I'm not going to search for the link), the info I told you about, was from a 3rd party link, with confirmed changes. NOT from the 'Armchair Director' set here on /.

Like I told you last night, it's not whining about the fact that we don't like the changes, it's the fact that we want the...(drumroll please)...MOVIE WE SAW FIRST!!!

Yah the acting was bad in spots, yah the special effects were kinda cheesy...but Jebus Crisp...I think we've shown over the years that those thing ultimately didn't matter...we still spent unGODly amounts of money on those 3 movies...BEFORE Greedo shot first.

Yep, they play .OGG, natively in iTunes as a matter of fact, and you can use OggDrop to encode.

    Any other questions?

Fallacy. No prices have yet to be announced from Macsoft. Nor have they announced a shipping date. The news of the missing Toolset, while not good, is not new.

The reason for the lack of a Toolset is because Borland was unable to ship a compatible compiler in time, and Omnigroup was unable to complete the port itself in time.

There is an open source consortium, OpenKnights, found at Sourceforge, working to build an open source version of the Toolset for both Mac and Linux users.

Just finished a discussion with some folks at Bioware.
Turns out a couple of the glitches aren't glitches at all.
    1) Only 4 voicesets were included to compress the filesize for downloads.
    2) Shiny water is not dependant upon your video card under OSX, because the current Mac implementation of OpenGL does not support it as of yet.

So, in review...neither of the glitches are bugs at all.
Game still runs flawlessly, smooth gameplay, excellent mouse response.
