  1. Diversity? on Ask Slashdot: How Should Tech Conferences Embrace Diversity? · · Score: 0

I fail to see the relevance. You do not go to that kind of conference for anithing but technical information and personally I do not see why the even should have been cancelled. If there was some speakers that had been not allowed in the conference because of their race or gender, would be a different issue, but this sounds stupit to me. It is just like affirmative acction all over again.

  2. New targets? on Israeli Infrastructure Proves Too Strong For Anonymous · · Score: 0

Perhaps Anonymous should try an indirect attach. Instead of attacking israel itself, attack all the suppliers. Stop port operations when a ship is destined to israel with any kind of goods or when products from israel are arriving to a third country. That would certainly at least slow down the flow of money and goods to that genocidal regime

Well, that is still much better than in the US. In Britain the patients at least have medical records. In the US (If you have seen Michael Moore movie Siko) perple are better off going to Cuba to get medical service

  13. interesting post..... on D&D Monster Study Proves Eyes Have It · · Score: 0

However, for several years, I did train Kyokushin full contact Karate. My sensei insisted that when fighting, we should look at the opponents solar plexus as when fighting every movement of the opponent comes from an limb (Either arm or leg) attached and controlled by the torso. By focusing on the solar plexus, you have “advanced warning” of what the opponent is going to do, but the eyes can lie. Using our eyes to lie to the opponent was another thing our sensei told us how to do and tiny seemingly unimportant things can make quite a difference when fighting.

It is quite possible that is not because those people have a bank account with HSBC, but what else do they have and what do they do. Perhaps some senior public servants? Perhaps some powerful entreperneurs (Yes that is a French word) that can influence law makers. Somehow, this offended some people that was too risky to offend.

We are looking at a bunch of trigger happy want-to-be-soldiers that dream of doing something as senseless as killing someone else. Only 72%? I would have expected a higher percentage from that crowd. Essentially, the only skills required to play that kind of game are very basic analytical abilities, good eye hand coordination and a fast finger. Anything that requires deep thought and understanding of the consequences of their actions is not required. Very much like soldiers. You do not want any thinkers there, just follow orders and go to kill.
