True. It was quite an odyssey to get the Realtek 8192SE on my notebook to work reliably.
Worked fine (despite the need to compile it by hand) until one kernel upgrade lead to kernel panics when switching between eth0 and wlan0. I'm glad the newer kernel in Ubuntu 10.04 has corrected that again.
Since it's Fringe it's probably something along the lines of Nimoy's appearance actually being a disguise to hide from the easter bunny's army of zombie cows.
Heise is the publishing house and c't & iX are the major magazines in their portfolio. With c't being the one for the upper mainstream market whereas iX is clearly aimed at readers in the tech industry.
Knowing Windows and McAfee it wouldn't surprise me if some malware had patched that file and while McAfee doesn't trigger on the file's checksum the malware is left untouched as well. j/k
Gotta hand it to them. They usually manage to make their joke something entertaining rather than the boring stuff most other sites tend to come up with.

When in doubt ask the cowboy.
Why do I suddenly have to think of Perl? ;)
So there's still a chance for rednecks and other idiots to finally grow a brain?
Post all information as RSA encoded strings?

There's nothing wrong with SkyNe...Google.

Now I can't get that NCIS episode with the Elements Song out of my mind.
Might be time to start taking your meds again.
Thanks! Good to know.
The lack of a Windows client is the reason why I prefer a combination of Dropbox and Truecrypt.
True, the iPad probably was the last missing piece.
I doubt sunk submarines are that active on Chatroulette.
Thanks!
The whole design of that product is a bit too close for comfort.
Still original enough but the purpose is more than obvious.
Good luck getting root access on that one.
I was thinking more along the lines of the jokes in the "pantsu" episode.
Gotta hand it to them.

I'm sure there's a connection to Xenu in there.
Someone calling people stupid when he doesn't seem to know the difference between "your" and "you're" really gives credibility to that comment.
Embrace, enhance, ...
They've been down that road many times before.
So there's a mythical math month?
What?
You mean you don't use service monkeys for the maintenance of your network cabling at work?
And having a service monkey at hand in case the cockpit has to be rewired could save your life (or more important, your in-flight wi-fi).
