Thank goodness that there are people like Moffat that use reason and intellect to look at the world. I mean really - "there's all this stuff in the universe, but it's INVISIBLE man, so you know, you can't like see it or anything...." - dark matter doesn't come close to surviving Occam's Razor.

This may come off like a flame, but any 'normal' person should think that dark matter sounds like a complete fabrication until 'proven' otherwise.

You've been modded down for some strange reason - maybe it's because you mentioned "human" and "imperfect" in the same sentence. Many people who strongly oppose the possibility of 'god' seem to have a common problem - an over-inflated believe in their own self. Why these supposedly smart people are unable to reconcile the limits of their own abilities with the possibility of something greater (whatever form that takes - there are plenty of 'collective intelligence' theories that you'd think people like this would adhere to) constantly amazes me. Anyway - props to you.

The simple fact is, is that setting up a RAID on a Mac is about as simple as it gets. Yes, it's software RAID, but you'll make me laugh if you say you need hardware RAID for a home file server. I've got an old G3 iMac like the one running the floppy RAID - cheap-as-dirt and dead silent because it has NO fan - with a couple of FW400 boxes. Works like a charm. No drivers to faf around with (have you ever tried to reinstall Windows onto RAID? Jebus!). Runs Connect360 to get media to the Xbob, iTunes for streaming, email (postfix) and webserver (apache).

There are very few - if any - functions the average person could do on Windows but not on OS X. Sure - there might be 58 mp3 tagging apps on windows and only 3 on OS X, but you can bet that those 3 OS X ones are better than 56 of the Window's apps. It's a common mistake that people make - they hear that Windows has 30 million programs for it, but OS X has only 1 million. That doesn't mean that there are 29 million things you can do on windows that you can't do on OS X. Rather, it's a case of you having to wade through so much more shit to find the things that you need.

Also, anyone with a Mac knows where to find Mac wares. Just because you've never looked doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

Oh - right. So universal system wide - and user configurable - short cut keys, simple cross application automation, system wide cross application scripting, detailed logs, and a huge range of *nix command line tools and software including apache and postfix, are all available on a default Windows installation?!

If you only care to look, and you are a 'true' advanced user rather than a MSCE style parrot button-pusher then OS X wins hands down over Windows for advanced functionality. The main difference is - a new user doesn't have to go faffing around in obscure places, checking obscure buttons under obscure tabs just to get the machine working with basic functionality.

Just to clarify - concrete has 'expansion joints' for two reasons: very large slabs will expand and contract with temperature, but also it shrinks over time. A really large block should show some cracking due to shrinkage. Modern concrete uses reinforcing (steel) to control shrinkage - and therefor cracking. If there's no cracking in the pyramid blocks, then they probably are mixed with some kind of fibre - straw or something would probably do - and the researches would be able to test for it.
