Ah! SPAM! I grew up on it. In fact, had it for supper this past weekend. I love it. My friends think I'm weird. But where I grew up (in the Philippines) it's like a staple diet.:)
I fry it till it's nice and crispy and eat it with rice. mmmm
man, i'm hungry now.
I have a good friend who is from Hawaii and he said that it's huge over there. So between the 2 of us we eat spam for everyone here in SC.:)
Yes, definately watch the sequel. It's a FUN movie. Nothing serious, nothing gory, just plain good entertainment. I loved the different parodies of other movies. Very cool.
I compare it to the classic Indiana Jones flicks, with better humor.

An 802.11b WIRELESS Internet tab so I can sit by my TV and type in website links for cheat codes for my PS2 instead of running to my office in the back room and typing it up on my system.
Also so i can chat via IRC or AIM/ICQ from the tablet while doing stuff in the kitchen or what not.
Or you can be like me. I have to call @home and let them know that I'm a user and that they really should put me in their database and bill me. First time this happened I had 9 months free service. Then I moved and now I'm only getting billed for cable tv.
I've done warned them already. Now I just say I have broadband for free:) Ah, how nice. Keeps me and my servers up and humming.
You have the right to post what you want and say what you want about the company. You don't really have insider information anymore so there really isn't anything they can do to you (AFAIK).
Spam the link to/. so we can/. the site and take it down.
Actually that's what their motto is (or used to be).
I used to administer and maintain a BESS server for a private university. Tell you what, it does work pretty good, but if john doe wants to go to a 'bad site' he can do it pretty easily with just a few minutes to spare.
Of all the 'filtering' solutions out there, N2H2 probably has the best one. It is very customizable and the admins of it can remove, add, and change categories, sites, etc. Got a site that's blocked? Send in a request and it'll probably be unblocked (within reason).
It's a product designed for schools where more and more are going online and yet there aren't enough adult supervisors to help monitor what kids go to. This is a preventive tool, not a catch-all.
I'm a firm believer that at home parents need to watch what their kids surf. But if i were a parent with my kids in school on unfiltered, unmonitored access i'd be worried.
There is just way too much garbage on the 'net nowadays. Too many people addicted to porn and it's destroying their lives, their families, their careers, etc. Something needs to be done. I'm an advocate of free speech but having obscene pornography available for all to see and get to with 2 clicks and 30 seconds is just too much.
I've tested and used many filtering solutions and none of them are 100% perfect, many have holes. They weren't designed to be the total babysitter for surfers but as a tool to help prevent the temptation to abuse the 'net.
People clamor about privacy, etc but you know what with the net, it's all relative. Go to google and type your full name in. You'd be surprised to see how many pages come up with information you posted years ago.
Anyways, that's my view and 2 bucks worth.:)

You're telling me! My rules broke in Outlook and I also spent a day and a half reconfiguring the yahoo/egroups thing.
Grrr.
now that it's done it's ok.:)
i still liked egroups better.
Maybe they'll be called Yahaol!
Because PC's RULE!!!!!
You can't get the depth of play in a console that you can still on a PC.
I'm not anti-console. I own a SNES, GameGear, N64 and a PS2 but I also love my PC:)
Good ol' Baldur's Gate 2...
That and consoles are way too $$$$$$!!!! For nasty cheapo games.
Oh, anyways, where i used to work is kinda in the same boat. Except they weren't a.com company. Just a normal private educational institution. Anyways, their IT dept. is dying due to the fact that upper management doesn't know how to manage.
Hmmpf, actually they don't know how to treat employees properly. Their clueless and they're all trying to impress the president those folk who know squat on technology.
Needless to say a few thousand students are going to be wondering what happened to their network after a few key employees bail in a few months.
sad ain't it how a great company/place to work can be soured by incompetent managers.
I'd take those offers and go. Don't pass up a great opportunity to help pursue your dreams. And don't forget your friends and co-workers. Treat them well.
It'll pay back.

Where i used to live in the Philippines we used to do this a lot.
Nothing like crawling around old Japanese WW2 tunnels and finding old boots, saki bottles, ammo canisters, shells, and even live ammo! Also used to crawl in small (really small) gold mine tunnels..but stopped that cause they were too dangerous.
Here in the States...well I guess crawling around the brush while playing paintball will have to do.;)
Although in college when i worked security we used to go to some really really cool places on campus:)
at our last lan party one of my buddies brought his pimped out case. He spent the last 3 months working on it. Neon lights, 800 fans, plexiglass window with goldfish inside, his own honda generator, etc etc.
It looked really cool though.
gag..i haven't gotten my electric bill yet;)
i'll stick with stickers on mine...
go bush quayle 92!;)
