If it is metabolized the same way, why does it cause a completely different response in my wife then the same food with cane sugar? We have tested this many times, and if we are going to have a sweetened product that has carbs, HFCS spikes her much worse and it stays high longer then cane sugar.
While I am no doctor, this might shed some light on things.

My wife has no official health condition, but if she ingests aspartame regularly, for some reason her blood sugar jacks up and stays high and her vision starts to blur. If she uses sachrin (she hates the taste) or sucralose (seems to not be bothered by it) then everything seems to behave normally.
HFCS seems to be worse on her sugar levels then cane sugar, and it's way fun to try to avoid that.
I think it comes down to everyone being different and different things affecting us in different ways.
Ecomstation has IBM's LVM as part of the installer process. If you want to set up a decent server, but not go full on IBM I think it gives you a lot of flexability. YMMV.
First time I encountered the cpu eater (indexing service) was when we installed Office 97 on Windows 95 or 98, I cant remember.
OFfice installer never told you about it and it ate up your computer all the time, even screwing up CD burns. Took a while to figure out what was going on under that version of windows.
You start out as a lone ship and a slave shielded earth. You first encounter a single spathi hiding on Pluto. How you deal with the Spathi determines relations. I'd say about 2/3 of what you encounter early on is not too hostile. depends on where you go, and you can go as far as your fuel will take you.
I know how you feel. In the first System Shock game after about 1/3 of the way in I started talking back to Shodan. That "AI" was given enough attitude and the plot gets to you enough it becomes personal.
So I play System Shock 2, I was expecting Shodan at first, but then they made it obvious that The Many were my adversary. That was until I got up to the office of my mysterious helper. When I found the body in the chair, the door shut and the walls turned into view screens showing Shodan, I instinctively fired at them. There was no reason for it other then the first games affect and how well the second game sprung that on you.
I'm disappointed there will not be a system shock 3 because I want another chance to "challenge a perfect immortal machine" as she calls herself in taunts.
Where I live, we are not just getting rid of them. We have moved onto a cable based system, apparently cheaper to deploy and maintain. Also it has the benefit of preventing traffic from crossing into oncoming lanes when someone goes off road. It is being put out in more places over a wider area then the old guard rail used to cover.
VMWare Server is free and you dont need to install workstation, then you can build/run as many VMs as you like (hardware is always the limiting factor).

Ok. So for someone to claim to be following an old religion and not some new fangled thing, they need to worship in the old ways. Then there are currently few if any Christians who can seriously claim to be anything but a fairly new fad religion as well. Or am I not getting your viewpoint?
My use of "pagan" in relation to non Christian religions is because of how Christians around me have used it. They have always, in my experience, used it to mean "any religion not following Christ". Since the discussion and original topic uses somewhat vague terms is it any wonder we are having such a discussion over the meaning of words.
For a really mind bending example of how grey a domain we are wandering into, look at Hare Krishnas. They are a fairly new organized religion, but worship as scripture claiming to be thousands of years old describes. Are they new and not worth any consideration or old and worth taking seriously? Where does this put the way Christian sects have evolved?
There are currently only 2 working and reasonably current distros for the Alpha. Gentoo and Debian. Gentoo I cant get to work on my Miata (has problems during some compiles that has a long standing open bug) and Debian I got up, but the docs are often completely wrong for that arch (I mean the docs written for that arch).
Small problem. Some of our worst gangs are run from inside the prisions. Better just to execute them if you actually want to stop them from continuing to run the shows.

At close range (10 feet or so), it isnt gun vs. knife/sword. It is who has thier weapon holstered/sheathed = loser.
WWIV is more about the modding community IMO.

Dare I ask what falls under the clasification of "superior forms of self entertainment"?

Well there is also that little detail that if you dont play through 3 times you never get to see the real ending.

So what happens if the terrorists finish the Hand of NOD before GDI forces can set up this laser defense tower?

The only way to be truly safe is mark all incoming radar contacts as a nuclear attack.
I expect this to operate as well as our own anti-missile tech deployed in the field. Just ask the widows of those British pilots how well it works.
