In the United States you can buy thong sandals. You might call them thongs, It is a crazy world and big language differences like this cause a lot of lost lives.
But I'm sure the "sure is back" for real this time. They only make these huge marketing pushes once or twice a year, every year. Just like California falling into the ocean I'm sure they will get it right one day.
Well, if you are gifted with a 50 inch (or larger) waist or taller then average then you have to spend $50 on a simple pair of jeans. Dress pants come in at $45 and shirts will cost about $30 each. This is casual style clothing not the much more expensive uber the cloths make the man stuff.
In Ohio, after the 2004 election, someone actually said he lost an election because of witchcraft. He blames some woman for putting a hex on him and thats why he lost. He actually challenged the election results with that as his reason. Sadly the paper I read the news story in does not have it's archives up on-line for some reason (they have a section for the link but it is not active).
Well I have to admit I was taking what my knowledge/experience with LD players (where I learned that sometimes a good TV can make composite look better then S-Video) and applying that to console video. I always assumed there was something like a comb filter doing the break out on the source side for S-Video.
Something people need to know about S-Video vs. composite. The quality of these against each other is highly dependent on your TV (or whatever device you connect to) and the source.
S-Video has things separated (not to the extent of component) by the device generating the signal and the TV does not need to do much filtering on it. Composite has all the video signal combined so the TV needs to run the signal through a filter to separate out things.
The quality of the filter (most often referred to as Y/C 3d(or 2d) comb filter) determines how good a job of this the device (TV or console) will do. Some TV sets have low end comb filters so the S-Video out of the console will look better. Some TV sets have very good comb filters and it can make composite video look better then the comb filter in the console can generate on the S-Video signal.
"The motion blur in film is for the same reason that you would get a blur on any still picture of something that is moving fast - the amount of time the film is exposed is large enough to capture multiple locations of the object. This would lead to a blurred picture of the original object, as nothing moves in exact jumps to be captured by film without blurring."
Now I am not an expert at photography but it is quite easy to either intentionally set a camera to capture a fast moving object as a frozen frame with no blur, or make the picture have said object be nothing but a blur of movement.
Something sounds wrong about your last sentence, but maybe I am just misunderstanding it. Are you saying that there is no way to photograph a moving object with out it blurring?
I love Blast Corps but never have been able (I bought it on release) to get past the level with the sets of building on either side of the train tracks, where you have nothing but the dump truck and little time to clear off both sides. I just never can get the darn thing to skid properly.
The funny thing is we were not blacked out in central Ohio. It's like discovering your master bedroom breaker also has the 2nd bedrooms closet and your attic light/outlets on it and nothing like that marked in the breaker box.
I got a copy of Battle Zone with my VooDooII card. I ahve never ever gotten it to work. I have patched it. I started trying to play in on Win98. Every year or so I dust it off and try again on whatever I think might work.
The game itself runs and is playable, but if I try to save a game it crashes to desktop and I ahve no save game.
Toyota designs the batteries to survive the "life of the car". Some examples My Prius has 67K on it and the battery system is doing fine. The taxi driver in Canada put over 200K miles on his and the system was fine. Battery replacement is covered in the hybrid system warranty for the first 8 years or 150K miles. Cost of the battery has been quoted to me by Toyota as 2K. This may not include labor for installation since I have seen others quoting 3K. Toyota has had cars out with this system since 97-98 (in japan before the US) and claims to not have replaced one due to anything other then external damage or a manufacturing defect.

Then avoid New Berne, NC at all costs. One of them (Pepsi I tink) was created there.
In the USA you can still see advertised "Thong Sandals" and I don't think they are trying to tell you they are good for stuffing your pants.
heh that should read
"suit is back"

I think Mouverene sounds more appropriate.
When did he get a bling coating?

I had no idea sodding was still an active group in the scene. ;-)
True, but in the Space Quest series, you tried to kill poor Mr. Wilco off in every way possible because of the funny quote/picture/voice over.
My money is on the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Tral (I cant find a proper spelling). I will then spend my winnings on Eccentrica Gallumbits.
The problem is they often just blur everything, even the buildings miles off in the background, and that's not how we see even with video.

"The Darkness"
Will this game allow us to cast Magic Missle?

I quickly bookmarked the site as soon as I saw the XYZZY on the sidebar.

I'd give anything for a good magic carpet update.

Earthdawn was pretty good for a rich fantasy world with a good horror bend.
Yah, I bet THAT works realy well.
Another problem is that here in the USA most places charge at least $.50/Gal over the cost of gas for diesel.
