keep in mind the Silver edition of HL2 ($55) gets you the whole back catalog, plus the updated HL and CS as well as other things. I'm not saying it's the bestest, but the online purchase does get you more content AFAIK.
I think they should be hyping Mr. Wood's new hot movie role as Kevin. I mean he is so much cooler then some halfling, and much more in tune with the average MTV crowd today.
IT makes sense for carts to be more expensive since you are paying for actual memory chips and whatnot.
A DVD takes a few cents to press a copy of. Frankly now that everyone has gone optical I do expect games to be released in the $30-$40 range rather then the $50-$60 range.
This is almost as bad as the record companies telling us, CDs will have to be expensive at first to help pay for changing pressing plants over from records to CD, but in a few years prices will drop significantly. Never happened because they got hooked on price fixing, and the government has not got the balls to do anything real about it.
My favorite bit about capalert is the hipocracy. He comes down all over all kinds of films with good messages but may contain the "occult". When it comes to Mary Poppins (I assume it is a childhood favorite of his) magically it is the perfect film.
"I can't wait for the import tuners to get their hands on this and make it look GOOD. Although it would probably have 5 tv screens, 900W stereo, and neon lighting all over..."
So, if I was browsing a p2p network and I chose to download some file named "wife giving head.avi" with a description of "amature video" and it turns out to be re-names child porn. The cops knowing this file is child porn bust in my door, and because of someone elses lie, I should have to pay a large fine? I'm all for helping the victims of the crime but why should I have to pay a largee fine because someone (possibly the cops) tricked me? I think you should re-think the potential abuses of that.
Also you left out one group of "child pornographers" (according to what some say) who exist in a much more grey area (one that I think is open to legitimate debate) people who produce images or text that are fictional in source and content. Where do these people fit in?
I applaud your healthy eating habits, but would like to add that you should add some protein in, get some nicely flavored tofu or mushrooms.
For meat eaters who want to do better then fast food, there are a few meats available that are low to no fat. Same goes for cheese. Look into healthy alternatives to things you already eat.
I dunno what planet you live in, but I have taken my Prius to 90MPH uphill (climbing the apalachin mountin roads I-77) to avoid a crazy SEMI driver. I can probably go much faster as there is an unused digit on my spedo. How much faster exactly does a car need to go? Todays Hybrids do not use your standard heavy car battery except for the 12V system, like a normal car. The HV system uses more advanced battery technology.
Not flame bait, but you are completely worng in most of your assumptions and seem out of touch with current automotive technology in the areas we are discussing.
I recently made a trip of 1K miles from Ohio to Florida in my Prius. This was my first long distance trip. Fuel consumption came to be around 20-25 gallons. Hybrids are least optimal doing long highway trips, they even tell you this before you buy the thing. I am willing to bet that overall the Prius should be less polluting then the Diesel. If anyone has figures on this I'd love to see some. Last, no one ever claimed a Diesel cant get high mileage (50 MPG and up) so I dunno why every time an article about Hybrid cars gets posted evey idiot has to pop into the thread with some dumb post about how the Diesel get better milage. No shit a vehicle that gets 50-50 MPG highway will use less fuel to go the same distance then a vehicle (marked on the damn sticker) that only gets 45 MPG highway.
Keep in mind those VW turbo diesels have had what, 50 years of technolgy (at least) behind them. I think Hybrids can do a lot more as the tech matures and advances are made, just like with the Direct Injection, and Turbo, help the Diesel engine.
My 2002 Prius came with an 8 year warrante on the Hybrid system (battery pack, and all the hybrid side of the powertrain). I will have it paid off 3 years before that coverage expires. So far I have had no trouble with the battery pack. As for replacement of it Toyota told me directly it's about 2K (this was back in 2002 when I bought it) and they said as production goes up and battery tech improves the price is likely to come down. Still they assure me that the warrante will cover me.
Funny thing is my wife and I mostly discuss the stories, and what we would like to know about the characters. We have not read the Graphic Novels that Sin City took it's stories from. We wonder if the "the salesman" on the balcony at the start and in the elevator at the end (I assume he is a hit man) is hired by the people he kills or people who want them dead, and whats the deal with his "kindness". We discussed a major theme of the film (from 2 main characters POV) sanity and the lack of it. Dwight was insane to the point he had corpses talking to him, but he knew it was hid mind trying to turn him against himself. Marv was capable of being a brutal killer, but also still capable of wondering if he had lost it and gone over the edge into madness. Living with a mental illness is not an easy thing and how they made the characters deal with the issues they had was worthy of discussion. Corruption and evil getting a free walk was another aspect that in some ways does hit close to home. I notice that a number of comic stories have had sons of powerful men as killers/molesters who are protected from the consequences of their actions. One other thing we talked about was "fate" as some call it. No matter how rich the governor was or how much each other person wanted things to be different, in the long run "Old man dies, young girl lives, fair trade". I guess the story in Sin City is what you find, not necessarily what they put there. While there was plenty of violence in Sin City I think they carefully chose what was necessary to show the audience and what was left to our minds. They could have shown Marv doing in a number of people, but we at most saw the aftermath. We could have seen that nice young man Kevin have a meal. I think they chose not to simply wallow in ultra violence while still trying to bring across the content of the comic. I do agree that visually it was stunning, just a highlight here or there (mainly eyes) and I notice each "story" had a different color for blood. I also think my favorite visual was when Dwight was standing in the alley and we get the shot facing him, the perspective and how the set was built was a visual treat.
Sadly a live action version has been in development hell for years. Disney's Starblazers! See the crew of the USS Arizona as they race against time to save AMERICA!USA!USA!USA!USA!USA!
What is the point of VLAN? I have never found a need to set that on my switch, and every place I have even been that uses them all it does is get in the way of proper installation of HACMP clusters.
OB./GYN. is Obstetrician/Gynacologist. Thats why it's used, because it actually is shorter to say then the whole thing.
I found this on some site on the web:
What is an OB/GYN
An obstetrician is a physician who has successfully completed specialized education and training in the management of pregnancy, labor, and pueperium (the time-period directly following childbirth).
A gynecologist is a physician who has a successfully completed specialized education and training in the health of the female reproductive system, including the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases.
Typically, the education and training for both fields occurs concurrently. Thus, an obstetrician/gynecologist is a physician specialist who provides medical and surgical care to women and has particular expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. This includes preventative care, prenatal care, detection of sexually transmitted diseases, Pap test screening, and family planning.
An obstetrician/gynecologist, commonly abbreviated as OB/GYN, can serve as a primary physician and often serve as consultants to other physicians. OB/GYNs can have private practices, work in hospital or clinic settings, and maintain teaching positions at university hospitals. OB/GYNs may also work public health and preventive medicine administrations.
OB/GYNs have a broad base of knowledge and can vary their professional focus. Many develop unique practices, providing high-quality health care for women. OB/GYNs may choose to specialize in the following areas:
* Acute and chronic medical conditions
* Adolescent gynecology
* Behavioral problems
* Cancer
* Endocrinology
* Health maintenance during pregnancy
* Infertility
* Operative gynecology
* Pregnancy and delivery
* Preventative health
* Urinary tract disorders
Education and Training Requirements The education and training requirements for obstetrics/gynecology are set by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and include the following:
* Graduation from an approved medical school
* Completion of an OB/GYN residency program (minimum of 4 years in length) that is accredited by the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
o Rotations divided between obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology, and ultrasonography
o Experience in primary and preventive care role for the equivalent of at least 6 months of the residency, including inpatient and ambulatory care; diagnosis and management of breast disease and lower urinary tract dysfunction; performance and interpretation of diagnostic pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound
o Increase in patient responsibility with each year of training
o Serving as chief (senior) resident during final year of residency
Board Certification Once the above requirements are met, physicians are allowed to take the certifying examinations given by ABOG. Physicians who pass the examination are granted board certified status in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a pre-requisite to subspecialty certification.
If certified in obstetrics and gynecology after 1986, the physician must complete a recertification process every 10 years to maintain certified status. If certified before 1986, the physician can take a voluntary recertification process.
Subspecialties There are four recognized subspecialties in the field of obstetrics/gynecology: gynecologic oncology, maternal/fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and urogynecology/reconstructive pelvic surgery. Each subspecialty has its own certification exams administered by ABOG, and physicians can become certified in one or more of them. Certification is valid provided the primary certification in obstetrics and gynecology is up-to-date.
Remember she is also the one who was spouting off in print about the contents of some sealed court docs. A violation of law AFAIK.
So how would the average lay user go about slipstreaming? They only know windows update.

I am also dissapointed that nothing is "off the hook".

Original Gumdam:
Central control mech with teleoperated (you needed a newtype to pilot it) semi autonomous weapon platforms.
"I can't wait for the import tuners to get their hands on this and make it look GOOD. Although it would probably have 5 tv screens, 900W stereo, and neon lighting all over..."
How would that make it look good?
Actually both will happen at the same time. for proof please see RoujinZ.

Where do these people fit in?
So we have to wait 75 years before the Chewbacca defense is out of copyright?
Switch to wendys. The chili isn't that bad for you, they have salads for fairly cheap, and they have non deep fried chicken sandwiches.
It's still fast food, but better on you then 2 big macs.
I applaud your healthy eating habits, but would like to add that you should add some protein in, get some nicely flavored tofu or mushrooms.

The real reason SONY canceled the HDD was to curb piracy.
I think both Inca and Inca II had pretty good soundtracks as well(if you got the CD version).
So they stole some of the plot from Venus on a Half-shell by Killgore Trout?
