The war of the ring ended with the destruction of the ring. However ther was a lot going on, and I'm sure more then just the issues inthe shire had cropped up. Much had changed and changes were still taking place all over the lands of Middle Earth.
80's MAcrovision as seen on VHS involved strobing the "ground" signal that was used as a baseline for the brightness data. The AGC (Automatic Gain Control) in many VCR units would freak out when they had this kind of signal coming in.
In 1997 I think they revised MAcrovision to also screw with the color data, producing a scrambled image much like what scrambled cable tv has looked like over the years.
AFAIK both version rely on an AGC being fooled. Better AGC units, or disabled ones can ignore it.
The best way to deal with Macrocrap is to use a S-VHS deck with Time Base correction or an external Time Base Corrector on whatever you are goinf to feed to a Macro sensitive device.
Are you factoring in the $75 per hour costs of MS support. Are you planing for any hourly support costs on the Linux side?
I find that most people can not set up a windows network properly. Sure maybe for a 5 pc net in a small business you dont need at least one IT guy, but I dont see any large corporations or large private businesses without skilled IT staff.
"I've been on the Redmond campus for several usability studies over the years, and spent more than a few hours with PSS (MS' support org) working out gnarly enterprise-level issues. I have yet to run into anyone there who had the open, visceral hatred of any other software group (open or closed source) that you find in the F/OSS crowd. If I say something like 'Why couldn't you do it *this* way instead, like CompetetorX does', the MS person will always consider the question on its merits rather than on some pre-judged emotional response.
It's not religion at MS - it's software."
What about statements by various executives who seem to lash out with pre-judged emotional responses? Things along the line:
GPL is cancer (no one wants cancer it will most likely kill you in a very painful way).
Linux is unamerican (brings about a mcarthyish view of software "Have you ever been an open source developer"). There are many more.
If MS and it's people are so deeply insightful, level headed and all about the software why speak to members of government to try to get laws passed killing your competetors?
Sounds to me like MS has just as much "old time religion" as any other software group I can think of.
I've been suffering through Vampire The Masqurade: Bloodlines. The game is great, has a lot of potentian for different style gameplay depending on your character and how you build them up. The dialog seems quite well thought out. The problems are numerous deadly bugs, horrible typo/spelling errors and to top it off they never bothered to go over the script and match the subtitles to the actors lines, so where things get adlibbed it gets disjointed.
It really wants to be a good decent game, and I like the diamond I see in the unpolished rough version that was released to stores. However this is a game that needed at least 6 months to fix up the serious show stopping bugs and clean up the typos and other cosmetic issues.
Janet Jackson took no action that was part of her breast being exposed. A individual person who was not Janet Jackson chose to use his own hand, reach over to her and remove part of her outfit. Everything anyone complains about should be on his cracker ass. Janet may have agreed to the stunt before hand, but she also seemed rather suprised on stage, so maybe it was a plan she was not in on.
In your PS2 the PS1 processor handles IO for your memory cards and I think controlers. When the PS2 detects a PS1 game inserted it lets the PS1 run it.
Not really. If you look at what MS itself said about that profit, they know it's a one time bump and will not be able to sustain it. This was entirely due to Halo2. Maybe if MS can put out a Halo game every quarter they can finally start to turn the Xbox around, but at under 100 million per quarter how many years will it be until the Xbox recovers the several (more then two I know) billion that has been lost on the venture?
Or god forbid watch both. If you like a show watch it. If you dont like it STOP FUCKING POSTING ENDLESSLTY IN OFF TOPIC THREADS!
This isnt entirely directed at you, but your kind who think you are doing us a "favor" by enlightening us to BG. I tihk it's safe to say most SF fans have fucking seen or know about the new BG and we either watch it or we do not for our own reasons.
Yah, cuz it's not like SCI-FI dont show em twice or something. No you can only watch one or the other, or else commandos from the future will kill you.
Dude Lee Majors rocks!
My problem with crusade was it cribbed too much from Star Blazers (SPace Bettleship Yamato).
But enterprise has had story arc for the last two seasons? How can you claim they have not had it?

I'd like to see one centering on Dr. Orphius.

To copy a DVD you dont need DeCSS or any fancy thing like that.
All you need is DVDXCOPY or DVD Shrink.

Welcome to PC style game development.
I've been suffering through Vampire The Masqurade: Bloodlines.

If said companyis making money off of our data, I think as the originator of that datapoint I should get a cut of the action.
Win2k for the Alpha was sweet. IF MS had not killed it I would have bought it. Instead they killed it so I am still running an old outdated beta.
Many people trade in existing consoles for noew ones. For example EB used to give you 30-40 dollars credit on the purchase of a new console.

I agree. I only bought a PSX when FFVII came out.
Toyota Prius has one and they get sold in California.
It displays navigation, system performance, environmental, and audio information/interface.
Yah, what they fuck are they doing!!1 They should be brutally exterminating all life they can not dominate when they come across it.
It's almost like they might start to form some kind of multi species group who act for the good of the group, a federation if you will.
Or god forbid watch both. If you like a show watch it. If you dont like it STOP FUCKING POSTING ENDLESSLTY IN OFF TOPIC THREADS!

I dont see you fucking ending all the woes of humanity.

But not crappy new style ones. We need the old school bad ass tin cans.
"Not to mention also the Romulan ale brewers.."
You mean Mad Dog 20/20?
Like that time they let earth be destroyed because they wouldnt bend morals and engage is space piracy to get a new warp drive.
Oh wait that's not how it went. I think you may be in for a tune up.
