I know you're just trolling (and being honest about it), but I just got back from the fifth annual Ruby Conference. The attendance at this year's conference was three times what it was at last year's, due in no small part to the success of Rails over the last year. The latest Rails book, Agile Web Development with Rails, is hovering around the number two spot on Amazon.com's list of popular "Computers & Internet" books. I'm told that they've sold some 20,000 copies of the book since it was published in July. So, apparently, someone cares...
I had an Odyssey, and let me tell you, it was pretty darn cool back in the day.
Well, I also had an Odyssey (actually, the Odyssey II) and let me tell you, my brother and I considered it the welfare version of the Atari 2600. Even an Intellivision would have been better than the Odyssey.
He asked me if I had my computer's case off, to which I replied yes. He then told me to go ahead and plug the modem into one of the free slots.
Zap! OUCH! Poof!
He neglected to tell me to turn off the computer.
My story is along the same lines. I had the case off of an old PC XT compatible of some kind. It was kinda late, and I'd been working on the PC for an hour or so (can't remember why now). I plugged a video card into one of the empty slots while the power was still on and, among other things, it fried the hard drive. Luckily there were backups, but it still a few days to get everything back up and running.
I've heard that Ruby is a bit of a complicated language to learn, but have thought about looking into it a little.
People will say a lot about Ruby's strengths and weaknesses, but I don't think I've ever heard someone claim that it's a complicated language to learn. On the contrary, most experienced programmers seem to pick up the basics of Ruby in a matter of hours.
I just listened to it again and maybe you're right. In this clip Pepe's accent is leaning a little more towards a Mexican one instead of Cajun, and I think that's what's throwing me off. But off course, Pepe's accent has always been a little vague (part of his charm).;)
I don't think that's even the original voice of Pepe the Prawn, and he's a (relatively) new character.

Am I the only one who dislikes the roller-type three-butten rodents and is having trouble finding normal three-butten ones these days?
I bought a 3-button Logitech Wingman Gaming Mouse a few years back and have been really pleased with it. (I don't use it for gaming, I just wanted a good 3-button mouse.) It's disappointing to see that Logitech doesn't make this model anymore (or, at least, it doesn't appear on their web site).
Here is one vendor who claims to still have some of them for sale. I suppose you might be able to find one used somewhere too; good luck.
IBM announced Tuesday it will work with Red Hat to bring universities up to speed in teaching college students open source skills.
Sweet, because girls only want boyfriends who have great skills. You know, like open source skills, nunchuck skills, bowhunting skills, computer hacking skills...
Also make sure you save your reciept (sic) if you are going to do e-filing and would like to have any hope of the rebate they offer.
For future reference, they offer the option of applying for that rebate online. That's how I did it, and I got an e-mail confirmation from them the other day that the rebate's on the way and will be direct-deposited into my checking account. I never had to show anyone my receipt, although when I applied for the rebate I did have to provide some kind of identification number that the software coughed up.
For the answer to your question, check out the time on Arthur's alarm clock at the very beginning of the trailer. (Although I'd expect that there's a more explicit references to it elsewhere in the movie.)
It is just that, if you aren't running Windows, you'll have to make a lot of adjustments in reading this article. Just a heads up.
You're of course correct that a lot of the information in this tutorial is presented from a Windows user's point of view. For me, this was a nice difference since most of the other documentation you'll find (including the copious amounts at the Ruby on Rails home page) is decidedly Unix-centric. (Or Mac OS X-centric, to be more correct.)
Ditto for Steve Ditko (as another poster has noted) and probably countless others. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Stan the Man's getting his due, but he's not quite the tragic hero that he sometimes portrays himself to be (see e.g. Tales to Astonish: Jack Kirby, Stan Lee and the American Comic Book Revolution by Ronin Ro).
I recently discovered that one of my neighbors' WAPs has the SSID "defualt" (note the misspelling). I'm still not sure if it was done as a joke, or if he just can't spell.
I named mine "unplugged", which seemed pretty clever at the time I set it up (about two years ago).
Doesn't matter if your account is simply garbage, as long as someone can spider it on the web. All honor to the dictionary attack, but as we all know, it doesn't take very long before someone finds your account on the web.
Bingo. Gmail's spam filters are still doing a fine job of catching traditional spam (e.g. 419 scams and such) on my account. The new kind of "spam" I'm having to deal with lately on my Gmail account is from people asking for Gmail invites. These are people who clearly don't know who I am, and who have harvested my address from somewhere (most likely, newsgroup or mailing list posts). I've taken to reporting these as spam, but don't know if that's really going to influence Gmail's spam filters or not.
As if the first Woka (sic) movie's boat ride scene wasn't enough to give kids nightmares...
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is tied with Poltergeist for the most nightmare-inducing movie of my childhood. For me, though, the worst scene was not the boat ride but the scene where Augustus falls into the chocolate river and gets sucked up into one of the pipes. That movie still freaks me out, much to my wife's amusement.

+1, Informative.
Sorry that I don't have any real mod points to use at the moment.
