that's what they said a year ago. and rather the point of the article: this isn't a flash in the pan. this is real simple good business practice stuff.
they really have got to start teaching the French revolution in American schools. our revolution was a minor footnote whos only real contribution to the world stage was the creation of the our nation. france's on the other hand changed the entire course of history, particularly of western civilization. the path to nearly world wide democracy would have been far different and longer without it.
If you don't like our Constitution as presently understood, feel free to try to repeal the parts you don't like.
Pretty sure that's -EXACTLY- what I am alluding to, and the fact it's been done 29 times.
BTW, those rich slave holding men created the most successful country in the history of the world.
Actually, no, they didn't, unless you believe the Founder's survived well into the 20th Century. They created a minor, rebellious nation that not many paid attention to because it was across an ocean and difficult to control with the realities of the day (much like if Earth tried to exert its will on a rebellious Mars colony with today's space tech). The US as the successful and powerful nation we know today was created by later persons, such as Teddy Roosevelt, FDR, Eisenhower, and so on.
As if any leftie could do better.
It's like you've never heard of Europe (unsurprising given your lack of historical education as evidenced above)
One of course wonders what our great grand children will mock us for. My vote is AGW.
not sure you get how sockpuppets work... and if mythbusters if your source, you're truly a fool. bullets and shot can and have injured people when fired into the air.
and for over 200 years before that, it was a group right related to the militia.
and no, the constitution is not intended to be timeless.
the founders were not perfect, and they knew it. even THEY argued amongst themselves over what the words in the constitution meant in supreme court cases, beginning almost immediately after the document was adopted. they were no smarter or better than we are today. in fact in many ways they were worse.
but they were bold. and that's why they gave us not just the Constitution, but also the means to update it as needed by a society meant to govern itself. when we worship them and their document and fear to change it to suit our needs, we fail at the very concept of self governance, instead letting dead slaver holders rule us instead.
In revering the Founders we undervalue ourselves and sabotage our own efforts to make improvements—necessary improvements—in the republican experiment they began. Our love for the Founders leads us to abandon, and even to betray, the very principles they fought for. We agonize over ‘original intent’ as if what the Founders believed ought to determine the way we live two centuries later. They would have laughed, and then wept, at our timidity.
(as for the militia: think reservists. we had a very small standing army, because the founders feared a large standing army. so in any conflict of note, mlitia (reservists) would have been called up to fill out the ranks. and because they also didn't keep large amounts of equipment on hand to equip the militia, they were expected to bring their own, including their rifles. it was only over time that we developed a larger and larger standing army, and began keeping on hand equipment to equip everyone)
Because we should listen to, without question, the opinions of rich slave holding men from over 200 years ago, who presided over a farming based society of some 3 million population sparsely spread over the landscape, thought bleeding someone was the way to cure illness, denied the vote all women and any man too poor to own any land, and would look upon our modern technological society with instant global communication as witchcraft.
Yeah, we should listen to their opinions unequivocally, and not at all consider how the myriad ways in which society has changed might have an effect on, or demand a change in, the laws that form a foundation for our nation.
do you REALLY want me to present you with a list of amendments supplied by Republicans, that became part of the law, starting with the requirement that al members of Congress and their staff give up their federal health insurance plans and use the exchanges?
or will you simply concede that you're full of crap and don't know what the fuck you're talking about?

if only there was some sort of list of personal identifying information they asked for. oh wait, they totally do. apparently you havent actually tried the website.
if that's what you got, then its a reflection of your own biases and a lack of reading comprehension.
no, you shouldn't withhold praise, but neither should you engage in stereotyping consisting of "this is how to be a good minority". both the model minority and lazy minority stereotypes are harmful bigoted myths that no one should engage in.
So, if you provoke a racist authority into displaying it for the world, they then not liable for said actions? Bull. This is the exact same garbage people tried to use to discredit civil rights activists 50 years ago. Hell, they still use these arguments. bigots never change.
psst. that was the point of the article: its been a while, and they're doing fine.

this should not be modded troll.
And once again you prove you have nothing insightful, coherent, or factually correct to contribute.
and you got modded up. because of course (though at least one of those is no doubt your sockpuppet)
"building X, room Y", not that hard.
actually a public option (defacto single payer) was included in it.
but republicans demanded it be dropped as part of their compromise demands

el nino is related to a warm current of water.
what do you think happens when you warm all of the water?
hurricanes in teh north atlantic.
the rest of the world meanwhile is getting rather more than normal, and rather stronger than normal, this year.
no, just depends on your command of basic science.

nope.
not a troll post.
just an article about how the model minority stereotype is as harmful (and bigoted) as the lazy minority stereotype.

that the racist conspiracy nuts have the mod points today.
